There's no doubt, as a collective, we Hibees have taken our eye off the ball.

Our fixation, as a collective, on money, accounts, has left the main business of the club neglected. We all know what happened next.

My feelings are the world, the universe and all that, has gone the same way.

The first item on the news today is Tesco (job advert: an opportunity has arisen for someone who can count). Because some silly bugger can't count millions have been wiped off the share price - don't worry, unless they continue to fuck up it will recover! 250k doesn't sound as bad as the quarter BILLION the BBC reported! Just saying likes.

What's all that about? Will it affect the price of bread for 65 million of us? No it fucking won't.

It could easily be argued that the Scottish Independence debate was lost in the world of high finance.

More easily argued how the financiers totally fucked our cozy little world not so long ago.

Its become absolutely obvious, to me a long time ago, the unelected financiers are ruling the world, the universe and all that, and our elected members bark on demand.

Has the world, the universe and all that taken its eye off the ball?

In my opinion the game is in the real world, we have real lives to live, not on the 23rd floor of some faceless grossly overweight fat cats office - who incidentally will make millions, maybe even billions, whatever happens.

Vive la Revolution

Just a shame the cheese eating surrender monkeys coined the phrase first, hopefully they'll also be relegated and have the next revolution. Looks like it will happen.

Those who blame the banks for all ills are exactly like the gunts who blamed only vlad - if we're making football analogies likesay.

In both case the complainers lapped up what the unsustainable credit lines provided. At least the gunts aren't demanding more of the same while simultaneously blaming vlad.

European Capitalism is in crisis. The Big boys know that.

BIG G

You've some brass neck G. Far from missing it, I was complaining about it before the crash - egb/Nostradamus blah blah, still true but.

And then as now, I'm prepared to face the causes, while you bite the hand you also demand keeps feeding.

Bank bailouts are years gone, and yet without the credit they supplied to keep the state machine going - always the real impact of their meltdown - our deficit spending has hit record post crash lows....of >100 billion per year. What's the answer G...at least you and I, on different sides of the referendum, both agreed that independence wouldn't magic things away.

So what would you suggest? Are you sticking, metaphorically, to the gunt line, and lapping up the silverware while lambasting what bought it, or are you ready to renounce guntish ways?

I believe yer felly balls believes he can slash that to the tune of 400 million. Talk about bailing out the ship with a thimble...

All of this is being handed to your grandchildren - how does that square with you?

Even if we endure the unbelievable pain entailed in Osborne plan, to get us to a 4 million surplus next term, that would require that state of austerity to be maintained for 250000 Years to pay off our debt (the numbers are so beyond my grip I may have for that wrong - I find it staggering, but unless I'm bamboozled then 4 plus million into 1.3 million million is the same as 4 + into 1.3 million, ie 250k and then some).

I've said before - you guys to my left like to talk about the unsustainabillity of it all; well here it is....and yet you want more.

As a reference point, Homo sapiens emerged 200k years ago, civilisation circa 10k years ago, while it's 50 years since the 1960s derailed the post war settlement in its infancy
