Scored again for Utd..that's 3 in 2 games...makes you wonder if we used him properly :hmmm Does make me wonder why we rarely score more than one or two in any match

I must admit, i`d have preferred we`d kept a hold of him rather than get Dagnall. I felt he offered quite a lot as a striker.

Not sure but it could have been that it wasn't Stubbs's call - if that was the case, that could never have been an option.:dunno:

You`re maybe right. Utd certainly wanted him back and i think we may have let him go as a bit of goodwill. I was quite impressed with him in the little game time he had here. I would`ve liked to have seen more as he seemed to offer something different from what we had. Pity.

Yeh i thought he had more to offer, and to be honest, Hibs have moved on a lot of good strikers without getting the best out of them. I dont have a prob with who we have, but we need to get more out of each player we sign or get loaned. That said Im UTD glad they got beat by Motherwell as they could prove problematic in play offs

I'm pretty sure he was either injured or not match fit when he came to us so perhaos we used him as soon as we could although I agree we should have used him more. DU took him back and we couldn't stop them so not sure what could be done except as Jack said [tongue in cheek] offering £150k for him.

where we not saying at the time that it was up to Hibs to send him back early?

I don't recall that Davy. If it was the case I'll change my mind and say we should have kept a hold of him because even in the short time he played he showed he had something.

EDIT: According to Wiki;

On 1 September 2015, Anier moved on loan to Hibernian, initially for the remainder of the 2015–16 season, however he was recalled to Tannadice in January 2016 after making just three substitute appearances for Hibernian.

Henri Anier was unlucky in his time with Hibs as (like several other players we have recruited), he was injured for most of the time. It took him quite a long time to get himself first of all fit enough to train, then match fit in order to actually contribute to the team. He made a few first team appearances towards the end of December and looked like he could be an asset for us as, like others have said, he provided something different to our other strikers. Unfortunately with Mixu's arrival at Tannadice and Dundee United's precarious position at rock bottom of the SPFL he was brought back to his parent club as they needed all hands to the pump.

I think it is true that Hibs could have pushed for him to stay, but my belief is that because we were looking to get Stokes and Dagnall in we decided to allow him to return to United. I think it is a pity as he is showing now what a useful striker he is. I think more of a body blow for Hibs was Malonga leaving to be honest.

It was Hibs who let him go back Dub, we could've kept him
