How many guilty pleasures can you combine into one über guilty pleasure?

My main guilty pleasure basically ruins my self image on three of the things I hold most important parts of my character

1. Not liking shit music
2. Sexism and objectification of women
3. Fuckin shan music.

I postulate that the following three videos are extremely hot, but also, totally at odds with who I say m/think I am.

Which, is daft, cause all it does is make me go caveman. And, as far as I can see, we're yet to bypass biology. Yet.

Hopefully this isn't too much for the bounce, considering they're in popular culture and easily available on Yachoob, I can't see why it would be an issue.

However, to try to claw back some self respect and hopefully some actual respect from the female bouncers; sex sells, right? But, how the feck are these types of videos cool for what are essentially pop songs?

(Before Proccie says anything; I'm aware they're all Ministry of Sound, or there abouts, generated cash cows).

Right, fuck this. Here are my music video guilty pleasures...

Eric Prydz - Call On Me (Official Music Video) [HD] - YouTube

Mason vs. Princess Superstar - Perfect (Exceeder) - YouTube

Benny Benassi - (Official Video) - YouTube

Thoughts?

Fair amount of turbulence.

To redeem yourself on the Eric Prydz listen to this (and give it time). I think you will like it. I nearly tagged it for you when I posted it on the big long music thread.

I wouldn't feel guilty about being aroused by sexy woman, looking sexy, moving in time with music.

That was pretty weird.

I had to switch on my speakers to listen to that one, whereas I didn't have to bother when I was listening to 'Call On Me'.

:dunno:

Not of all them. Far rather listen to that than 95% of 'serious artists'.

True.

Soft spot for them, remind me of happy times - always been partial to a mainstream pop dance record.

The latter two I do genuinely like the tunes. Still, not of the caliber I'm used to thinking I think I like.

Call On Me is shan at every level though.

If you like it you like who gives a shit who it's by?

I came across a song by accident the other day called Aint No Pleasing You, thought it was superb - turns out it was by Chas n Dave! So I'm supposed to pretend I don't like it cos it's sung by two cockney wankers or isn't inventive as The Beatles in 1967? Fuck that.

Correct on the liking it front. Doesn't matter who it's by.

But, if a tune's only redeeming factor is the fact that there are really hot bints in the video, there's cognitive dissonance that has to be achieved before one can accept said tune.

Man, I used to be a total music Nazi. But, I don't give a fuck any more. Probably because I stopped being a teenager.

Surprises me the amount of folk that remain in that state though. On all manner of topics.

P.S. An old boss of mine went to see Led Zeppelin at Nebworth or some such massive arena, in 1979. And, do you know who was supporting them in a completely non ironic sense?

Chas n fuckin Dave!

How mental is that?!

Totally . . . should've been the other way round.

these videos are for teenagers ;P

the internet puts the tit in titillation in much more 'honest' formats than these uchoob links....(so I am told ). Maybe to some ears there is musical value in 'Call on me' but not for mine (nor I suspect the millions of - teenagers - who have watched it). :giggle:

Well, I was kinda meaning 'teenager' in a metaphorical sense. I reckon I was a compete teenager when it came to music WELL into my 20s!

Ever seen the movie Pitch Perfect? Aye, big guilty pleasure of mine. You should watch it. Surprisingly half decent.

Add to that this cheese fest of a tune from someone that appears in the very same movie. I've been singing it to myself all day. Cheese fest.
