Well where do I start. I'll start with the fact that I was absoulutely delighted to have met all you Dutch folk. What a wonderful bunch of people. Friday night in Tamsons was fantastic. Wonderful to see you guys sing Hibees songs word for word. Great commeraderie between you guys and Tamsons local drinkers. Saturday was great, mental and bizarre at times. My only disappointment was Hibs playing so utterly, utterly crap after such a long journey for you all. That was not football.
Anyway one of the best football weekends I have ever had (excluding the football)
Hope to see you all next season at your place. Awae, awae, awae, awae, awae, awae laaa.(?). Frizzie could you post the words/sounds of that song on here please. It's fucking great and good to hear it in windswept Aberdeen FC's stadium.

It was embarrassing at times watching our performance yesterday. People travel great distances and spend a lot of money to watch Hibs and the way our team performed against Aberdeen was unacceptable. The spirit we had earlier in the season has gone.

The most important thing was that we met a lot of great people and have had fun at our stay in Scotland.

Last weekend was superb! The game was very poor, but let's forget that. Edinburgh is a great, Hibernian is great, and you are all very nice people. We'll come back for sure.

Here's the song:

Owe owe owe owe owe owe owa!
Owe owe owe owe owe owe owa!
Ooooh wij zijn Groningen FC!
Jalalalala, jalalalala!

or:

Owe owe owe owe owe owe owa!
Owe owe owe owe owe owe owa!
Ooooh we're Hibernian FC!
Yalalalala, yalalalala!

You can download a little movie of where we got this song from - we think it's South-America. There are also some little movies of our version of this song at the home game against Feyenoord.

Hopefully, a selection of the photos of our tour will be online this evening. I'll let you know.

Cheers Harris

Well Gordon we had a fantastic weekend too. On Friday in Tamsons singing and drinking. Saturday was also superb, well the team wasn't playing very good but the trip was superb. Had a fantastic weekend in Edinburgh. Unfortunately we lost the game against the sheepshaggers but next year we will see them win. We're already thinking about a boattrip next year.

Hopefully we can arange a friendly match between Hibs and Groningen. I already informed the board of FC Groningen about a probable friendly match.
