Dint know much about him, but it appears for putting his vi3ws on x regarding the use of female toilets by born males, then more likely he gets into hot water inciting people to punch others in the face, comes to Heathrow to be met by 5 armed Police and arrested. UK is not known for using armed Police unless there is a genuine threat to life, but it appears making ill thought tweets on an online platform is now worthy of calling out the firearm teams

I believe he lives and works in America now as almost totally cancelled in Britain.
 
A hero and a free speech martyr. Doesn't make him a perfect man, which I'm sure he isn't, but he has stood against the creeping tyranny of our day and it has cost him pretty much everything, including marriage and career.

In common with the otherwise very different Tommy Robinson, he is also a walking demonstration of what the establishment regime will do to those it deems it's enemies.
 
Linehan is a great advocate for the NHS. Good for him.
He should do more of that and less of the trans stuff. It seems to have taken over his life.

Well seeing as how the trans stuff has ruined his career he is quite right to highlight the fact that at least HE knows what a woman is and doesn't need a court ruling to tell him.

Most police at Heathrow are armed. They didn't draw their weapons. He's another one who has totally lost their mind, career and family through ill-considered use of social media. Life would be so much better if we just put the phones down and talked to people like we used to do instead of screaming at each across a keyboard (obviously I never do that you C***s!)
 
Fair point Bofa but that ain't going to happen mate.

The twittler youth use social media to constantly attack those whom they disagree with.

And whether the bizzies drew their guns or not is not the point it's the fact they dragged him away.

Should advocates for racial equality like MLK have dumped their preoccupations in favour of propping up failing pillars of the establishment?

I agree with you that Linehan can verge on the obsessive at times, but if you or I had been subject to what he has been, I wonder if we would avoid that. His life has been destroyed by the intolerant forces that destroy so many lives each year, away from the spotlight his position commands.

A hero of our times, even if a flawed one.

Hard to believe that people can go along like this. The man has been hunted for speaking truth to power; denied his career and his marriage broken. Can you really blame him from getting a bit tetchy about it?

He was intercepted by a gang of cops Bofa. That they didnt actually shoot him is hardly a triumph

Really? That's your take on this? I assume the bizzies will now be going after this Lib Dem fanny for threatening a woman with gun violence the week after a trans-identified man shot up a Catholic church...🤔

That kid was a 900 foot high example where the whole gender thing was a forest of red flags and ear splitting klaxons signalling profound mental disorder.

But in our age of unreason, to pursue that would no doubt have been fascist.

Whatever his horrific crime, he was failed himself. Yet another that fits a well worn pattern.
 
The problem is folk want all this to be black and white when in fact we all know that most of the world is shades of gray.

We had a trans girl in our wider family. She was very high functioning doing incredible research into curing cancer. Sadly she could handle the pressures and expectations she was confronted with and people telling her she was an abomination. She took arsenic from work and killed herself. All she wanted was to try to find a way to live her life that made sense to her. At her funeral her boss sad that he world had lost someone who could and would have made a difference to humanity.

Well thats truly tragic and I'm sorry for your loss.

Nevertheless it has to be restated, that people protecting women's and children's rights here - which afaik includes Linehan - are doing exactly that: protecting women's right to their own spaces, sports etc, and protecting troubled children from frankly bonkers 'interventions'.

I'm not aware of anyone who tries to say that adults arent free do what they want outside these encroachments.

Linehan was suggesting that folk had a right to assault Erin just for wanting to take a piss. Can you imagine just how intimidating it would be for a deeply insecure trans girl to have to go to the toilet in a mens toilet? The whole thing is a mess but folk need to stop taking sides and start looking for common ground.
 
I don't think there is any common ground to be found though.

Women deserve their own space the same as anyone else.

And unfortunately the trans lobby are vicious against anyone who does not buy into their ideology.

JK Rowling being the prime example of the hatred thrown at a woman for stating the obvious.

What a world if we can’t find consensus or live and let live. And yes many trans activists are utterly hateful but there a far more folk in the middle of all this than those in marginal and entrenched positions.

I would add that it definitely didn’t help that certain people decided to place the trans issue front and central of the culture war in their pursuit of political power. They didn’t care who they hurt in doing so.

Yeah but most folk aren’t imposing anything on anyone. Just going about their lives as best they can like the rest of us.
 
But they are. They are wanting to go into places where males or females see as THEIR space.

The Nurse Peggie case is a prime example of where a biological man thinks he can do what he wants and Nurse Peggie has just to accept his illusion.

Life's no like that no matter how much folk would want it to be so.

My youngest three granddaughters deserve to have their own space until they are old enough to say they don't mind if a man shares their changing rooms.

Hurt feelings don't really matter in the real world mate.

I totally get that. I’d say I come at this from a pro feminist position but I also know that a lot of innocent folk are getting hurt.

Just read that the geezer who has taken him to court feared 'vigilante violence'.

Apparently he's quite adept at causing ructions against people who don't buy into his fantasy.
 
I've yet to see anyone in court who harassed him though Bofa.

He's lost everything because of the attacks on him.

I’m not defending anyone. I’m just saying there was a lot of heat in this whole debate that didn’t need to be there and sadly in the process a lot of folk got burned.

I'm sorry but protecting women is the non negotiable priority for almost everyone and it always will be. The perfectly obvious answer in most cases is for trans folk to use the disabled bog.

Its the activist militants that refuse this it seems to me. They are also responsible for the toxic atmosphere around all this, and positively brimming with misogyny.

I suspect the reputedly high incidence of neurodiversity in the trans community may have played a part in the toxicity. Politicians making it a tent pole issue also didn’t help. Politicians trying to make a one size fits all law definitely didn’t help. Celebrities getting in the trenches didn’t help as it just started to feel like a pile on.

There are also undoubtedly sexual predators who are using a trans identity as a means to negatively impact women. If you are getting off on entering women’s spaces you probably not actually trans but just a danger. But that goes for masses of men who don’t even bother to dress up as women.

But then you have folk like my relative, Erin, who couldn’t take that she wasn’t accepted for who she felt she was or Brianna Ghey who was brutally murdered for just trying to live her life the way she wanted. She wasn’t harming anyone was she?

Sadly very true. Utterly bizarre why they have come after him in particular. Not a good look for society when we shut down someone when they disagree with the main thinking of the day or in other words the trendy thinking. Fwiw he's made his point,which I totally agree with,but it's not worth fucking your live over. There are no winners in this farcical situation.

My mate lives beside a trans person and says they are no bother at all but hears loads of negative comments while walking his mutts. As long as they aren't affecting you why get so vexed.
