Glenn Whelan

You have to wonder what was going on with him at the gunts. He still gets Ireland caps doesn't he? He can't be that bad...

His interview on the BBC site seemed to suggest there were deeper issues.

It would be pretty hilarious if we signed him and he did a job for us.

Yes, Ireland are so bad that they even give him caps.

He's definitely the type of player we need. Seemingly had 5 MOTM awards at the PBS. Could maybe do a job until the summer which would suit both parties. Although there is part of me that thinks, if you've got ambitions of being in the top 4, you don't sign players that the club sitting rock bottom have deemed surplus to requirements!

He seems to have been a decent pro wherever hes been. I'm sure he could do the job until seasons end.

He's past it, we need better. Even if just until the end of the season.

Are folk seriously suggesting we sign a player who has been binned by the bottom team in league, mainly down to having a poor attitude?

Maybe his attitude stems from how he has been treated in his time there?
Spent 9 seasons at Stoke with no problems.
Hertz is the shortest gig in his career.

He’d no be the first player to come up to Scotland from the bright lights of an illustrious English club like Stoke City thinking Scottish football would be a nice wee jolly to wind down his career, only to quickly be found out.

No, not at all. Theres a few floundered after moving North.
All I'm saying is that his history at other clubs doesn't indicate he was a shit stirrer with an attitude problem.
I wouldn't worry too much , I dont think it's on the cards.
