Their club is facing oblivion and over on Sickback they are slavering at the jowls because of this story.
Talk about grasping at straws.
As for Big Gaz he has got problems which is a shame but he is nothing to do with Hibs now. I hope he can sort himself out.

i know it just seems one thing after an other,hope he gets his head sorted out or he will end up in a sorry state either it be jail or hospital or worse..he needs to sort it for himself and especially his kids sake.

Exactly correct.

Hopefully he can clean himself up. If he can do then maybe he could become a roll model for highlighting the dangers of drugs, and mismanagement of his finances at schools etc.
 
We do not know the severity of issues he is going through at the moment. This could be perfectly justified. Lets hope he doesnt end up behind bars this is a sad state of affairs for such a talented footballer. Him and Our Derek are sadly falling by the weight side. Mind you the Deek news has stopped.
 
Its front page of the Sun ( or Record, both same pish to me) and inside they manage to shoehorn Griffiths into the story. Wankers. :pf:

Why would you not tell someone? Or instruct your lawyer to tell someone? Just ignoring everyone definitely is the wrong way to go, and courts will see that the same way.
They may well be proper reasons for it, but all the court will see is a drug using footballer who isn't interested in anything but himself.

Shame it's wound up this way though.
 
Ive never met the boy, and I have no wish to.
I enjoyed watching him play for Hibs, but he sounds like a real fud.
Apart from his obsession with chemicals, which I suppose could get him a sympathy vote the stories (if true) about how he conducts himself and behaves towards others mark him as a clown.
Shame that he wasted it all by being wasted most of the time.

My own personal view with regards to him trying to avoid letting others know could be the fact he is ashamed to be doing community service whilst going through other things at the same time its a lot for him to take on considering his usual work place was the big stage. He may even be embarrassed and we all know some people try their damn hardest to hide their problems even from the people who are closest to them. Sounds like Gary needs help.

That's not what I meant.

I was talking about why you wouldn't tell the court or the charity shop about not being able to turn up. That's the problem right now.

He probably does need help, but he's never done anything to show that he's wanting to help himself, that's the first step usually :dunno:

I reckon I know the severity of it. O'Connor is severely thick and severely neddy.

This could be a new Gazza in the making. Probably scared to make the call whilst fully aware of the problems as a result of not going at all he's just made it worse.
 
What a clown he is. Sounds like he had a cushy number working in the British Heart foundation, and his Billy big balls attitude decides he doesn't have to. Complete waster, just lock him up and be done with.
 
I canni get over the absolute waste of talent that is Gary Oconnor. It's unreal, he was a very good striker playing at a very high level and he's blown the lot mostly because his attitude. Unreal.

It might sound harsh but in all reality it's not. This is his second or third time being caught, and he's not learned a thing. Granted he's a former player, but that doesn't mean a whole lot to me. If it was anyone else I'd be of the same opinion. I'd be a bit more sympathetic if he was a young laddie, but he's a 30 year old grown ass man. If he needs help he should seek it out, and try and get clean.

Things will continue to get worse,Gary's choice eh
