Any Bouncers play football manager/simulation games? Currently I play bygfoot for the pc. It's pretty nice except the player names are not real. But it's freeware which is a big plus.

Anyone play some others?

just started to play football manager and im mince at it. Used to pretty good at champ man.

been playing FM for five years now - finally gave in to temptation just after the Eidos/SI split.

I have basically no attention span at all, which is a problem. i don't usually last longer than half a season, 3 seasons at most.

Actually if they released a game whereby you could start a new manager with a large transfer budget every few months I'd be totally up for that. They could call it 'Newcastle United'.

Well it seems Football Manager is a favorite around here, I might try that sometime :detective:

I used to play LMA manager, thought it was brilliant but they seem to have stopped making it which is pish
(Posted fae ma mobile fone)

Anyone played Sensible world of soccer? I played it on a dos-emulator. It was actually a lot better than I expected.

You could always try playing Xpert11.. there are a couple of leagues on here and you play against real people, not computers.

There are other alternatives to X11, like "itsagoal" but I tried it and it was just too involved.. could be more your cup of tea perhaps as it's more like the football sims of the past.

Both games are free to play, however you can pay to upgrade which gives you access to more stats etc.

i play football manager got 2009 but am crap at it :rollfloor went back to playing 07/08 which am not too bad at :giggle:

I tried to play one of the FM games not too long ago but really I am utterly guff at it, just couldn't seem to do anything right and got fired half way through the season.

:doh

It's not, but I like the challenge :thumbgrin

FM09 is great by the way. My computer runs it slow, but nonetheless a great game.

FM09 is the one i have. Can you recomend a striker that Hibs could sign in the price range of 2million in FM09? Riordan always misses training in my game!! Just signed Cregg on a free. Sold Campbell and Nish along with many others. Chisolm and O'Briens really good in my FM09.

Still on FM07. Only ever had one game on it. In season 2017/18. Hibs have retained the title for 10 straight years, and am on 6 European Cups (won 5 in a row, then put out by AC Milan on away goals in the qf after the computer gave me a fuck you game where I had 3 centre halfs sent off in the first leg, and therefore all suspended for the second leg, not that I'm bitter about it or anything!). Fecking Petrie is still there, and still insisting on a fecking relegation clause in every contract. And the tightfisted cant won't let me employ more than 6 scouts. Despite there being over 100m in the bank.

Capacity of ER is up to 40,200 and is sold out every week. Every time I come back to a saved game Steven Fletcher is bemused at me praising him when he doesn't think he's been playing that well. Which would be fine if I was actually praising him, but I haven't been. A straight 4-2-4 is my preferred formation with a playing style of short passing with creative freedom and atttack both nearly maxed. I've lost to Hearts twice in 11 seasons. I've taken to playing my under 19s against them most times nowadays and they've yet to lose to them :rollfloor I've managed to contribute to getting 4 huns managers sacked after they lose the plot at my continual criticism, and subsequent skelpings of them. Captain is Maximilian Oliva. Cultured Argentinian centre half. In 12 years I've had two decent players signing from the youths and am almightily pissed off about it since I've got to keep my scouts camped in Scandanavia, Argentina, and Spain looking solely for 16 and 17 year olds who I can then sign so they'll count as being part of my homegrown quota for Europe after being with the club for 2 years before they hit 20. And the Argentinians have to have dual nationality. My bias towards Scottish players is 1 on a scale of 1-20. Scott Brown is wanting to become a coach when he retires. Scotland won the European Championship in 2012 with Fletcher scoring the winning goal in the final and they haven't even qualified for another tournament since it.

If you make a new Hibs save on FM then load all the Brazil players, search for Hugo. He plays for somebody like deportivo brasil or something like that.

He is worth like 5k and turns out to be prem quality :thumbgrin

FM09 is a bit wank yeah. you can't do anything creative because positional arrows are neutered, there's not really any link at all between slider commands and the way you imagine the side playing, the snazzy 3d graphics are actually terrible, the media bits are uncomplicated and poorly-done, and you can't play it on most laptops.

jacobson's a bit of a bellend really

Ah, thanks! I only have a small database right now because my computer is a piece, but once I upgrade some things on it I'll try that out :detective:
