Anyone else notice that news/sports commentators can't say these words anymore?
 
They say Fith and sicth. ... Listen out for it :)

Ah yes, I know what you mean. They also say fourf and fird.

And my favourite is when they tell us morons that some player or other gave 110%

Or they "just about got away with that" when they quite clearly got away with it, be it tackle / ball / save.

Since the introduction of STV news[we used to have Grampian news] ,I have noticed that certain words have changed.
Birds has now become burds, third is now thurd & first has miraculously become furst.
In fact I think the letter 'I' is more or less redundant now we have 'weedgespeak'

Of course our home counties newsreaders still persist in flattening the vowels & throwing away the 'R'[thanks Craig & Charlie!:thumbgrin]
