Havent seen it discussed much....then again I don't watch much tv. However if not it seems very strange as this is a major point of order. I have heard that England do not have a second option as to where to base the nuclear feet in event of us asking them to leave our shores. Whatever happens it cant and wont be immediately. Further to this I habe also heard that it is unlikely we would ever use Trident without the agreement of the USA. And there lies the next point. If this is the case and USA want England or us to retain Trident then I would imagine it will be part of a deal to allow us into NATO that the base be kept on for NATO purposes. If this happens then SNPs plans of nuclear free Scotland would hinge on us not being part of NATO.

Thoughts?

We won't ever use Trident full stop.

If England wants missiles then let them meet the cost and be based there.

in the event of a yes vote, trident will be used as a bargaining tool lyrics Westminster, possibly in regards to the currency union.

Independence or not, it'll stay.
