EPL clubs to vote on scrapping VAR.

Should be scrapped.

Was supposed to stop alot of errors...and seems Todo the opposite.

Kills the beauty of the game too.
You score a goal, and end up waiting an eternity to see if your allowed to have it or not

It's typical of football that they can't get anything right.
If VAR was used for what it was meant to be, it would be fine.
Clear and obvious errors. If they agreed accidental handball is NOT a penalty, and if any part of your BODY is in line you are onside, it would probably work a treat.
And if they used it to get cheats sent off for diving and play acting, but that's far too much common sense in one post.

Voting to get rid of VAR when all they have to do it use it properly. How can you fuck up something so basic and simple as using cameras to ensure the rules are followed and to stamp out cheating.

I hate var... after the crap we had with Griffiths and Shaw goals against hearts that we never got as the ref didn't see them cross the line I thought it was going to be a good thing. Instead it's cost us wins and points and ultimately a bottom 6 finish.. and as already been said we need to wait half an hour to see if we get the goal...it sucks the life out the game

You should stay away from the shandies at this time of day.

Tbh, I'm not surprised.

With VAR, the refs' lives become a lot safer and they can rest easier on their days off.

I notice loads of neg comments from fans and the odd player but in general on the pitch, players have stopped haranguing refs endlessly after certain decisions and left the rights or wrongs of the VAR calls to the vicissitudes (10 pts+ vocab test) of the shïtey punters on telly in their post-match 'analysis'.

Whatever, and as someone else here pointed out, they are not using VAR in the right way. Do something like giving the managers two review options per half, for example, otherwise onfield decision stands. Only lose an option if called wrong. Review all card decisions with ref's decision standing in case of no clear decision being called from available camera angles etc.

Just don't think they planned it all properly for football to begin with.

I thought it was UEFA who insisted all top tier clubs used it, or is that just for the champions league?

Partially related.
I've mentioned it a few times, but they're looking to trial a new offside procedure.
Daylight between the players

Seems a more complicated version of "if any part of the players body is onside they're onside" - ie the flip of the current situation and the option I favour.

The daylight rule wouldn't kick in for the huns unless they had a 10 yard gap.

I didn't consider the reverse minute details..

Will stop defenders holding on the turn, gifting onside.

I think it'll change the game quite drastically actually.
The high press becomes extremely dangerous to play overnight.
