Yip , they need home advantage and a russian linesmanUnlike Scotland, England have a striker they can normally rely on for goals....their problem is they are far too dependant on him.
Hungary were superb last night. Terrific movement in the last third and some great goals. They also defended well as a team.
England looked depleted and knackered. Southgate having to rest players and play fringe players and it showed big time.
England are a decent team and will be one of the favourites in Qatar, but I just don't think they are anywhere near good enough to win a world cup, especially given where it will be played. They are hyping themselves up again big time due to getting to the Euros final and the semis of the last world cup, but they have generally played much weaker nations during these tournaments. Whenever they play any country of stature they fail. Their big chance was last summer in the Euros. They completely blew that one, and deep down they know that was the best chance they will ever have of winning a tournament.
Yip , they need home advantage and a russian linesmandonβt know when theyβll ever get the latter again

spot on Beagle, itβs staring them in the face but they canβt see it, like you Iβm in the fuck them camp. The problem with the English national team is down to their βbest league in the worldβ. Itβs blinded them to the fact that their leagues are chock full of talented foreigners getting paid millions whilst their home grown players populating the national team arenβt up to the same standard.
How do they redress that?
Who cares. Fuck them. But thatβs the issue right there.
One of the best teams in the worldEnglish match host talking about it surely not being beyond England as one of the best teams in the world to reach the world cup final. They are ranked 8th in the world and ranking doesn't come into it in a cup competition whether it's club or country.
Nice waistcoats thoughDon't want England to win at anything - and that's mostly down to their jingoistic bias media.
Whilst they have some excellent players their manager is tactically naive and has a huge elongated head.
Always minds me of Princess Anne... the way he frowns a' the timeNice waistcoats though
