Starting next week the resurfacing of Minto Street, Mayfield Gardens and Craigmillar Park. They might have waited until Dalkeith Road was finished.
 
So both ends of moredunvale road now closed my daughter says! That is absolutely crazy. Wtf are they thinking

Yi can come in from the hospital end Stu. Cannae get oot on tae Gilmerton road though.

Was open this efty. My missus works in the Royal, she'll find oot in the morning. If it's shut she will have tae go up the way on tae Ferniehill Road.

When they do roadworks up this way, never ever do they think about it… the 2 main roads coming from midlothian and the borders and the amount of times there have been works on both roads, danderhall, the wisp etc is madness. thousands more houses built there and do we get any road upgrades?? A joke… absolutely clueless so they are.
Been driving me nuts for years, but the main crossroads at gilmerton, 4 cars turning right… ie hospital way etc, and no one can get through the lights as no filter! Hence big Jams start all the way back past station rd, it doesnt take much, esp at peak times, On a main crossroads!
You would think it was deliberate…. Christ we’ll end up with LEZ next 🤪

I don’t know how they can continue throwing houses up everywhere out here like that without taking into consideration and doing something about the road infrastructure. Crazy

The roundabout at Station Road is shut as we speak for resurfacing 😳.
At least theyre daein it at night.

The taxi I got up to my lassies yesterday had the driver going into full rant 🤣🤣🤣

Trying to get out of Moredun. "Every fuckin week they dig something up and no tell anyone" he said.

Eventually got out the scheme at Moredun Park Road.

Aye the Gilmerton crossroads is a shocker mate, I sometimes take the kids to school that way but as you say the backlog of traffic often goes beyond the station road roundabout. The alternative route for me (Lasswade Road) isn't much better as sometimes the traffic can be backed up from the Captain's Rd crossroads to Lang Loan, but at least it moves fairly rapidly. Only going to get worse though!

Have you seen LRT laid a new bus route on the number 28.

Goes from Bellevue to the auld terminus just down from the Station Road roundabout.

Still nae numbers 8 or 18 buses coming up the Avenue. Diverted via Old Dalkeith Road up Ferniehill Drive then doon Gilmerton Road.

I think they're daein that because of the queues that wid build up at the top of Moredun Park Road Jimmy.

Aye the traffic is heading back towards the shops.

Once they start work on Minto Street it's going to be a nightmare. Avoiding the toon big time.
 
Doon at Granton visiting a mate and dropped another visitor off in Pilrig Street on the way hame.
Right turn intae Leith Walk and it’s gridlocked from MacDonald Road. After 10 minutes I managed tae squeeze up tae London Road and got along tae Abbeyhill and turned right.
I knew the park was shut but i thought I’d go up Holyrood Rd and up the Pleasance.
Nae fuckin signs at the palace tae say it’s shut but Holyrood Road is fuckin shut tae.
I counted aboot 6 cars turning around in a car park and back roond tae the high street and after another 20 minutes I get up tae St Marys street and guess what? Along Jeffrey St and another 10 minutes tae get up Market St.
Eventually hame an hour and 3/4 later.
EDINBURGH IS A FUCKIN CAR PARK! 😡

Done the same at holyrood last week on the way to the bus. Turned right at the Pleasance, drove down only to find the road shut off!! No signs!
Edinburgh council really are a total bunch of clowns
