No he's not been linked with Hibs but what a cracking player he is. Surely Hibs can sneak in ahead of Dundee Utd who are trying to bring him back to Scotland. Man U have triggered a 12 month extension recently, it's expected he will go out on loan again.

Strong, good range of passing/on the ball and direct. Looks the kind of player we'd want at Hibs.

That’s exactly the type of player we should be in for mate 👍

Mentioned him before.

Marshall
Lewis
Kerr
Cadden - Nicky

Cadden - Chris
Kenneh - Holding
Levitt
McGeady
Tavares

Jones

If Porto, Doig and Doidge sold.

Cardiff are rumoured to be interested which would blow any interested Scottish team out the water. Welsh guy to Welsh club.

There is no motivation for Levitt to come here and no benefit to his parent club in coming here.

He'll be in Scotland on loan for another season tops. Utd have European football and a comfortable environment for him to develop in. We mean the square root of fuck all to him or his paymasters.

Top quality player. Well worth a transfer fee but it seems the remaining funds are going on a defender. I don't think we have much more to spend on players unless 1 or 2 move on.
Yes I think that's pretty accurate. We definitely need another central defender (preferably left-sided), but after that we will be replacing players who leave. I still expect to see a few players moving on and new players coming in to take their place, hopefully upgrades.
IMO we still lack players who have proper experience of the scottish game up front especially. At the moment we have too many new youngish players who are completely untested at this level.

£300k is such a steal for a talented player with SPL experience. Dundee United only can offer him a loan deal, but I bet Manchester United would prefer it to be permanent. Come on Ron dig deep you know it makes sense.

So where does it state he's available for 300 grand ?? Seems a bit unlikely

The sun claimed it a few days ago, saying he could leave on a permanent for 300k+ add ons so most likely bullshit
Any team in England could pay that , they'd be aswell just releasing him

I imagine half of the championship would be but something tells me it'll be more than 300k

300k lasts about 40 seconds at that club.
Can't see them caring about a number like that.

Agree with you, likely a bit more than that.

i'd be amazed if Rantic didn't show interest at that price

To be fair I think that article lost all credibility when it said Dundee United played in the Championship last season. If they don’t know what league Dundee United play in, I doubt they know what kind of transfer fee Manchester United would want.

See on Dylan Levitt (not just asking you @The Family but the wider thread)… is he actually any good and worth paying that kind of money for? Can’t see I remember anything about him, certainly didn’t stand out from what I recall, and his stats are decent but nothing more.

I don't think any supporters other than Dundee Utd regulars could speak with any authority about the ability level of Dylan Levitt. We simply haven't seen enough of him and there is nothing startling about him that would blow you away.
The fact that Dundee Utd want him back obviously tells you he has something about him.
The £300k transfer fee suggested has almost certainly just been conjured out of nowhere. The other issue is wages. It has been suggested today that the possible transfer of Simms to Hearts is likely to fall due to his wage demands rather than the suggested £500k transfer fee. Levitt could be the same.

He would have filled the void the Scotty left IMO. A young player as well who is comfortable on the ball and with huge potential with resale. Ticks boxes for what we look for in a player. Ashame he's ended up there.

He is highly regarded by many here outside of Dundee Utd. If our new signings don't live up to expectations and Levitt continues to develop as that's an opportunity blown by Hibs. He has experience of playing in this league as well which many we've signed don't.

See DU have also signed McGrath from St Midden that we were once upon a time interested in. Obviously never got his 'big move' down south as anticipated. We're usually all over the Midden players.

Fletcher is the first Dundee Utd signing of the season.
