You wouldn't expect to get away with defacing Islamic symbols in downtown Riyadh.
It's much the same here. We are increasingly overseen by a religious movement and it's ideological police.
I used to occasionally have to go to Canary Wharf which is possibly the closest to a woke holy city that we have in the UK. They had these crossings years ago as well as other street markings. It was just everywhere. People who don’t cross into the territories of the upper middle class possibly don’t appreciate the extent what it’s like in their sacred spaces.
