To all appearances Dr Who, in common with much of BBC's dramatic output, has in recent years been enlisted to the task of conditioning the population to politically correct values. Or so you might reasonably observe; but apparently not...

Studies by barkingly insane american academics reveal that the Doc is actually a flag carrier for vicious reaction;

I got as far as this..

Several of the 23 contributors to the book claim the failure to cast a black or Asian actor as the Doctor demonstrates an overarching racism.

and then I stopped reading.

Well it is science fiction, so Doctor Who can be anything. What about a black transgendered Chinese Jewish lesbian?

It's actually been established within the show that Timelords can regenerate into different racial types:

He's never been a woman, sexist fucks, a wee kid, ageist fucks, or a large dog, speciesist...

I used to watch Dr Who when I was a child,used to watch Roots too!

the white men I Roots were always the baddies and the black guys were on the good side!

racists!

Roots rather more harmful than doctor who. It's invented mythology is at least in part behind the adoption of islam by black gangs in the US, and now here, as a rejection of the slaver's religion Christianity. This is of course grandly ironic as islam was the original and enduring (even to this day) slavers religion in africa. He has whitey raiding inland Africa rather than generally buying slaves from african slavers at the coast, thus helping obscure the real history of that sorry era.

A bit of a digression, but if these busybodies want to nark about tv programmes it would be a better target than dr who!
