More likely to be his mateView attachment 12006Matt Lucas surely.
Thought it was comedians? It's Russell Brand
More likely to be his mate
I thought it might be him too but he was active on Twitter yesterday. Usually when these kind of things blow up they mysteriously “go dark” on social media.I hope it’s Jimmy Carr I can’t stand that smarmy false laugh *&*^.
Where are you seeing the program being solely about Brand? It literally is about Russell Brand though.
He's already put out a denial video with the usual "completely untrue", "establishment agenda against me" excuses.
I'd imagine he's the creep that had the power to ruin careers of those who spoke out that Katherine Ryan was alluding to a few months back.
Where are you seeing the program being solely about Brand?
Why didn't they go straight to the police?I understand the need for reporters to get stories but.
Is it not illegal to have knowledge of a serious crime and not report it to the police here and in the USA?
Why did all these women not report the crimes at the time or at the height of Me Too?
I never did like Brand. He can rot for all I care.
Yep, nasty behaviour. Jonathan Ross alsoWhat Brand did to Andrew Sachs was vile.
So perfectly plausible to expect that behaviour wasn’t a one off

This is one of the most tone deaf posts I've seenThere were disorderly queues formed of folk wanting to shag this 'comedian' just as there always has been for pop and rock stars. Those in the queue throwing themselves to the front knew what they were doing. Unless they're under age I've no sympathy. Between cancellation and victim mentality I'm sick to the back teeth of it all. I'll watch tonight but unless there's some serious allegations of substance....
Well let's see what they say. Everyone's a victim now after the event....This is one of the most tone deaf posts I've seen
You're far better than that K
Not long ago he was celebrated as a wise libertine taking it to fuddie duddies like Peter Hitchens. I didn’t like him then and I don’t like him now in his ‘just putting it out there’ social media guru guise.Funny how the Guardian's coverage omits the fact that Brand used to write a regular column for them![]()

I don't think anyone is blaming the women. I think asking why now to a reporter given the passage of time is a legitimate question. Some fkd up replies on here, essentially blaming the women for being raped, or suggesting they're making it up because they didn't go straight to the police. With attitudes like that still prevalent, is it any wonder women often aren't inclined to report it?

It's an absolute minefield all round.

Have you looked at police behaviour recently? Why didn't they go straight to the police?
Everybody is supposed to be entitled to a fair trial without it all being reported beforehand
You suggested the victims were commiting a crime by not reporting it, which is a stage further.I don't think anyone is blaming the women. I think asking why now to a reporter given the passage of time is a legitimate question.
