Deputy Leadership contest and Duncan Hotherstall

In the nicest possible way, ask of them to explain, since none of them saw fit to challenge Nicola Sturgeon for the leadership, why they believe they have the qualities to make an able deputy leader but what is lacking in their get-up to make a good leader. Ask them what would they do if elected and, God forbid, Nicola Sturgeon, got knocked over by bus. And ask them if there isn't a deficit of talent or at least cahoonas in the SNP that across the membership the party couldn't find a single person to stand against Nicola Sturgeon. Nicola. Sturgeon.

With the huge influx of new members isn't there a danger that, independence apart, we will see a big change in the political direction and balance of the party?

Can you ask if they will do things differently next time round, specifically in relation to currency and E.U membership please? Ta

Was the stance on currency an error of judgement? I'm an SNP member so no hidden agenda

That was a great question. Both Stewart and Keith were challenged by it. Out on Monday And Tuesday.

I'm not sure that was fully answered. So, you'll have to judge for yourself. I'll link it in though.

Enjoyed your interview with Duncan Kev but got the impression you wished it was a shorter one....

I've not watched it mate. Three hours of interviews is a lot. It goes out as live, so it makes it tricky, I get nervous at the start and the end. If I've been given my five minutes to end signal, it makes me focus on the ending.

I actually liked Duncan, he is controversial and in his usage invites the ordure which he regularly receives. It was 12.30-1.30 with Stewart coming in at 2. So, I was focussed. At times the evasion and spin was a little tedious but then I used that to challenge him some. On the LGBT stuff, it was grand. So, I can see where it might've come from, it wasn't conscious though mate.

I think you are being a wee bit harsh on yourself. I like your style a lot. I thought Duncan came over very well but I disagreed with him on Miliband. I would imagine conducting such long interviews must be mentally draining. Great work though. I look forward to future viewing.

Are they going to block the current licenses that have been granted for fracking in the central belt

Thank you Kenny, it means a lot to me that does. I'll tell you what, my therapeutic models flash up at lots of different points and quite distort my focus. Then I divert them. You'll notice in how I asked Duncan if he had rested. 118k tweets, it's an amazing amount. I did around 11k here in the first year, anxious that it prove sticky. His total he freely admits is about his obsessiveness.

Bear in mind I see around 8 hours of clients on Monday, usually back to back and work a split shift on a Tuesday. I'm used to talking and listening. The difference is, ordinarily I'd challenge more and ask more direct questions or get wistful and much more playful. Follow your interest is my motto.

So, to flag it in advance. Stewart Hosie is treasury, I used to work in the City so I work that into it somehow. Keith Brown is transport this plays into my interest in the asset register from my time at the Highways Agency. Angela Constance is similarly interesting from her mental health officer status and having a wee lad Gabes age.

Anyway, who would you like me to interview mate and I'll make it happen?

I think the Better Together dude you need to interview is Jim Murphy... He appears to have aspirations so doubt he'd do it. FWIW I quite like Jim....

I doubt he'd do it just now. Once we get the show on satellite we might get him on. We're not going away[emoji6]

One is the Ying to the others Yang, iirc[emoji23]

Al and Martin, I'd welcome them both. Something for the future I'd imagine and big Martin tends to be shy, whilst Al almost swears as much as me [emoji6]

Your show would need to be longer than an hour if you had these two on it Kev but it would certainly be interesting :thumbgrin

Make it happen :applause:

It would be great and that's not to diss anyone else on here. I love the Cooshed & always will. It was 1875 idea and name iirc (which is quite possible I don't)

Stuart Campbell v Jim Murphy?

You might need someone big in the middle to keep them apart. But it would make great telly!

Stuart is not good in front of the camera:)

To be honest I've never seen him on camera. He got invited on various things a few times earlier in the debate did he not?

Anyway I reckon you should have a panel show. Like Question Time or something. Bit more fiery than the chats (which btw I like but without being a dick don't really have time to work my way through)

We're aiming for that and that's kind of you to say. I'd prefer that. He's very intense and not at all polished
