Can anyone explain to me how this works as I heard defeats were bad for the scottish teams coefficient

If x/Twitter hadn't become the worst website on earth, I'd have pointed you to an account on there, that I think is called simply Scotland's coefficient, as whoever runs it puts in a ton of superb work deciphering the whole murky business. It's outrageously complex!

Although I do think your point about defeats is true. Defeats are bad for it.

I have tried to Google it, bus as you correctly say, it's terribly complex, especially for a 70 year old that failed there 11 Plus at school.

If you win or draw against a team with a better seeding than you, it enhances the co-efficient.
The reverse is true the other way.

Exactly. Couldn't give a fuck about it. The co-efficient didn't benefit Hibs when celtic lost the SC Final.

Exactly, less money for them is more important IMO. The way things are going the previously wee countries are overtaking scotland at a rate of knots anyway .
