What started off as protests about hikes in train faires has escalated into a near insurrectionary situation.Thinking back to the early 70's when Chile tried to put a left wing govt. into power with Allende.Things didn't end well. With Thatcher's favourite fascist in power.Hopefully there are signs that this time there may be a more positive outcome. There are uprisings happening all over the place at the moment, countered by far right gains in other places.I thought 2019 was going to be quite a boring year up until about July. Not so now.

Been there a few times(in-laws live there)
Beautiful country, amazing people....Corrupt to the core Government.
How the previous president didnt get jailed.....is nothing short of ridiculous!
Money laundering for her son.

Its really no surprise there is chaos.
Average working week is 50 hours.
Average wage is probably $500 a month.

Rent is cheaper....but the price in supermarkets is roughly the same as here.

I have a good friend who is a computer engineer...he gets $600 a month for 50 hours work.
I worked there for abit too.
They wanted to pay £1.50 an hour
So I left!

That is simply not right.

If you watch the looting...its mainly migrants doing that! Mainly Haitians and Venezualans.
