I suppose there is a blessing in his demise from Sky........no more sub titles required.
 
Has he been bulleted by Sky? Has to be after that surely?! Messrs Gray/Keys/Marsh all lost their cushy Sky jobs for less. Actually disgusting behaviour.

IMO gobbing in a kids face is pretty disgusting behaviour and should see him lose his job. Over on dotnet they appear more concerned about the actions of the father... WTF.

He's pretty fortunate that there was no immediate repercussion.

If I was the father of a teenage daughter who was gobbed on by that cretin then I may well have reacted badly to it.

The reaction elsewhere is totally bizarre. The dad seems like a dick, filming whilst driving is pretty stupid and he'll probably get fined. But that's small potatoes in comparison to gobbing on a kid. That's assault, I'd be looking to have charges pressed.

I've never liked Carragher, thought he was limited as a footballer and a thug. His analysis is garbage too. Hope he gets sacked/charged.

If you found out you were the father of a teenage daughter you’d have reacted badly? Can’t imagine mrs shrink would have been too enamoured either.

He's not on tonights show but I think that means he will be getting to stay once the heat dies down a bit. IMO he should be fired by SKY on the spot. I've always thought he was an arrogant knobhead and this only goes to prove that.

Agree with all of that. It's actually outrageous the more you think about it. Who actually does that? Regardless of any any mitigating factors or "goading".

Yep, classic whataboutery. The dad is a dick but that doesn't matter as Carragher should only be getting judged on his own actions - which are that he wound down his window and gobbled on a kid. He clearly had time to see that it was a kid and by the sound of her voice she wasn't even 'goading' Carragher.

I have a vague memory of him being involved in some sort of assault thing very early in his career. Like around 2001 - I googled it but only found the throwing a coin at Arsenal fans thing but it wasn't that. Anyone remember? I think it might have been on an England under 21 trip?

I'm pretty sure Carragher - or any other recently retired central defenders - wouldn't lose much sleep if the old man (or you) reacted badly!!

With the element of surprise maybe some old codger would stun a younger opponent with a sneaky but nonetheless vicious prodding of his no doubt well muscled chest.

I find the fathers behavior even worse. Putting his kids life in jeopardy so he can operate his phone. You know this won't have been the only time either.

I’m pretty sure quite a lot of Bouncers have been guilty of the odd use of a phone whilst driving.
I’m less certain that many have spat in the face of a wee lassie.

Carragher is a prick, but the old man is a bigger prick. You could hear the wee lassie was more pissed of at her dad than anything else. Driving on the phone and goading someone on the road.

Shame the only one who comes out of this with any credit is the youngster.
 
The dad will face no police action for his phone being out.
