Verona take on Milan tomorrow. It's live on Alba and iplayer at 2pm if anyone interested. He's scored 2 goals so far since joining but haven't won a game. Maybe get a goal tomorrow if he plays but can't see them picking up any points even with home advantage.

I still think Verona was a horrible decision

Saw him say he'll stay even if they get relegated. Doubt it, they'll need money back.

Having watched them since he arrived they're not good side but still think it was a good move even if just getting a foot in the door. He seemed to be stagnant at Hibs, not entirely his fault.
By end of season he'll be familiar with Italian football, will be settled in the culture and if he can even show the potential of scoring goals then he may get a move to a better club.
It was sn admirable thing he said about sticking with Verona no matter what and it won't go unnoticed . You're probably right though they may well have to sell him.

Not a horrible decision for Hibs.

No, course not.
Also depends on how much we got up front and what the bonuses are.

For example, If one of the bonuses was staying in Series A we don't get the quoted figure. That would probably be the largest bonus.
If they do have to sell him after being relegated, his fee will be less than it would've been in the future as a Serie A player. Again, costing us some money.

We couldn't reject it, I get that and I would've accepted the deal too. But I do think he could've done better elsewhere.

I suppose we won't know until the accounts are published for next year.

Don't know if he's injured but wasn't picked for the team and not on the bench either. Didn't bother watching game since he wasn't featured.

I did. You didn't miss much. Modiric was playing for AC Milan, still got it.

I think this is why Scottish players are so well enjoyed in Italy just now.
Modric is a fantastic player, always has been, but the Italian leagues are good for players who've slowed down. The Scottish blood and thunder attitude sticks out mega.
