That's federer out.... Murray playing very well in first 3 rounds....
Not really sure of the draw yet, who meets who, when etc.
But AM back to his best and hopefully another final here is looming, and going one step further
Murray would still have a few tough games to get there. The next match is Dmitrov who knocked him out at wimbledon and then it looks like Nadal in the Semi before a Djokovic final. (not sure who he plays in quarters)
Still very tough.
Hope he does it though.
Indeed. It's an understatement to say that Grand Slams are a tough nut to crack in this era.
I love the slams man, the athletism puts footballers to shame

Djokovic it is then...
Yeah
Be a hard hitting tough match, one AM can definitely win.
Come on Andy saaaan
Oh, he can win for sure. My living room is gonna get another serious pacing on Sunday morning.
Tempted to sleep through the first hour, for my nerves' sake. [emoji1]

What a match, 2.5 hours for the first two sets.
Amazing athletes and tremendous talent
It's killing me already, Hattie! [emoji30]

This is a different AM attitude wise, stronger and more focused.
I had to nick out to the shop earlier so i put Sportsounds tennis commentary on in the car. They still managed to shoehorn numerous references to the bigotfest at Hampden the day into the 10 minutes of coverage i heard.
`Mon Andy![]()
He never seems able to consolidate periods of dominance, though. It's gruelling to watch, like!
Tennis on the radio ?
Feeling a bit sorry for Murray now. Seems to always have a stage in these kind of matches where he beats himself up mentally - it really affects his game.
Yep, John Lloyd called it right. It was a stupid error by him to get rid of Lendl imo. He`d won his two majors with the guy and had helped him to be more positive mentally. Everything he is showing in this match had been banished from his game under Lendl. Stupid costly mistake to split from him, imo.

He didn't "get rid of Lendl"
Lendl quit.
He didn't want the workload of coaching a top 4 player any more and wanted more time doing his other interests and being with his family.

Murray is a very good player, easily the greatest British Tennis player of all time, but he is not isn't the same class as Djokovic, Nadal or Federer. He might win another Grand Slam Title but time is fast running out for him.
Andy blew it, again. I really like the guy and want him to win of course, but unless he sorts his head out, he won't win as much as his talent deserves imo
