Is there not some Hibs folklore stuff that representatives of Arsenal were visiting, or they were playing us, hunners of years ago and thought that our strip (with the white sleeves) looked smart and copied us in their own colours?
There's also some theory around the white sleeves that a player is able to recognise a teammate a split second quicker with them.
