Coming to the end of a tariff which I'm paying far too much for and now looking to shop around (sim only)?

Anyone got any good experiences or recommendations to share?

I'm particulalry interested in:

- reach and, er, penetration. By the latter i mean; i used to be with ee which had very good reach (geographical coverage) but the signal dropped the moment a piece of paper was between me and the mast. I exaggerate a little but I found that edinburgh's stonework killed it

- in built European data roaming

I'm with EE and the signal isn't that bad apart from when I'm up the Southside at the crossroads beside the Abbey.

Nae signal at all then

I have Tesco mobile, I pay £18 a month for 12gb data unlimited calls and texts. Thats for 2 phones. Data roaming until 2026 I think .

My mistake. £17

If you're happy with your signal look to see who else uses it.

I use Lebara, uses Vodafone. £8 for 21GB, unlimited minutes and texts. Roaming in a lot of places and 100 minutes to call abroad. Rolling 1 month contract.

Have a look at the Martin Lewis site. It shows all the deals and often the first 3 or 6 months are half price.

I recently took Lebara for the missus and I. Cut back on the amount of data, as we don't stream on phones really, and use wifi in the main.
Was spending nearly £60 per month, now £10 in total. No additional costs in Europe for my pension funded holidays!

Aye, these holidays!

I'm finding more places/hotels and cruises are now only providing WiFi for social media type stuff. No steaming! I nearly used all my data last month as my trip away included the last home game, 2 qualifying sessions and 2 grand prix!

Thanks to everyone for advice. I have gone with Lebara given its popularity with gentlemen of leisure.

I also figure if it can handle Shrink's very specialised needs in the streaming and image data department, it will be more than enough for me to use WhatsApp, the Bounce and check football scores :coffee1:

He was allowed a phone when we first let him into the 'gated community' of Upper Craigour.

Now he's admitted to smuggling a burner phone in.
