Aye Liz Kershaw. He introduced a lot of world music to folk. As @Archie said a troubled soul. RIP.

I was sad to hear about Andy Kershaw. He always seemed like a nice guy. John Peel once told me a story about him - John was in Radio One when he heard a commotion in the corridor. He popped his head out to see Andy on the floor battering Simon Bates. John watched for a suitable amount of time then when he’d seen enough said “Come away, Andy, the c***s not worth it!” and took him down the pub to let him chill out.

I can quite believe that story. Had a real love of all types of music. Always had time for him. Sorry to hear he had his troubles.

Pleasant voice but ta for the Smiths intro vid cos didn't know the fizzog. Great in any case to hear that Marry guitar again I have to admit..

Sorry to hear that....quite liked Andy Kershaw from back in the day.
Met his sister Liz once at a Springsteen gig in Paris about 25 years ago.....she's a huge Bruce fan as was he.
