Your "surprise" team for next season

St Mirren

I like Jim Goodwin's attitude and he has recruited potentially some good players on a very tight budget. He just gives the impression as a manager of a small club in the top league he knows what he is doing. He was a bit of a hammer thrower as a player, but he wants his team to play good attacking football, but has the sense to know you have to build from the back and have leaders in your team.

Tony Fitzpatrick can be a bit of a slaver, but I tend to agree with him when he said that he thinks St Mirren could make top 6 next season.

Also think Dundee United could surprise a few people.

For me I think Ross county may surprise a few, some signings that on paper look decent and brought in experience too.

Aberdeen - they will have a shocker and surprise everyone by being involved in the relegation battle this season.

That's my hope anyway...

I filled in the "How will the league finish" thingy on the EEN website the other day and put St Mirren bottom of the league. What do I know.

Ross County was my pick for the bottom. Their form was attrocious at the tail end of last season despite having some decent players. Their manager seems like a bit of a fanny too.

Hamilton will continue to be the jobbie that won't flush in 11th.

I want Kilmarnock to go down.

I also think St Mirren will surprise some this year, theyre going after the right types of player. Whether they get enough to do the job is another story in fairness

Have wanted this for years. Just something about the club in general I don't like.
Killie 12th Hamilton 11th

Then stir things up and go for no relegation and a successful league construction with top 2 of Dundee and Raith promoted??

Any of the teams with plastic pitches can go down for me. Hate plastic pitches and think it gives those teams a slight advantage.

Still don’t get how they get away with it when you see local junior teams with immaculate grass pitches
