Nah, just isn’t right, stick to what you do best, women’s stuff, shopping, looking nice, coffee mornings, glass of wine, watching the great british sewing bee etc.etc.etc.
Nah, I love and respect women, just don’t think they should be trying to re - arrange each others faces . Men’s boxing is bad enoughContriversial and a mysogynist now Joe?
Yeah Joe, invent the first computer technology, lead countries, pioneer chemotherapy and the X-Ray, fly the Atlantic, possess higher IQ, stronger immune systems and greater emotional intelligence. Did you see the etc.etc.etc.my main point was whacking each other on the head just doesn’t look right for ladies. just my opinion thoughYeah Joe, invent the first computer technology, lead countries, pioneer chemotherapy and the X-Ray, fly the Atlantic, possess higher IQ, stronger immune systems and greater emotional intelligence. Oh, and the first beer was invented by a woman.![]()
You could say exactly the same for men.Did you see the etc.etc.etc.my main point was whacking each other on the head just doesn’t look right for ladies. just my opinion though![]()
What's the story behind a woman inventing beer? I was under the impression beer was an ancient drink that can be traced back to the earliest civilisationsYeah Joe, invent the first computer technology, lead countries, pioneer chemotherapy and the X-Ray, fly the Atlantic, possess higher IQ, stronger immune systems and greater emotional intelligence. NotedYou could say exactly the same for men.
As an aside, normal people use just one 'etc.' It's perfectly adequate.
You're right, it's ancient. The Sumerians in what is now Iraq were said to have invented it in around 8000BC with the original brewers being women. What's the story behind a woman inventing beer? The invention bit is misleading it was discovered by mistake. Maybe the men were too pished and the women made sure it wasn't too strongYou're right, it's ancient. The Sumerians in what is now Iraq were said to have invented it in around 8000BC with the original brewers being women.
Make sure you don't cross the road.I love boxing, I boxed as a kid. I love watching it, whether it’s women or men.
However now that we know what we know regards brain injury, I’m surprised that it’s continuing in its current form.
Kids aren’t allowed to header a football at training but they are allowed to smash each others faces in the boxing ring.
It doesn’t even have to be a punch that causes injury to the brain, any type of jolt can send it bouncing and for it to haemorrhage causing damage in the short or even long term.
I suppose money talks but I think it’ll end up a bit like how we now view smoking.
Seen an MMA fight with 2 women and it was just as violent as a men’s match Kev. Fuck fancy fighting either of they 2 lassiesI like Women’s boxing (at the very highest level) - Savannah Marshall v Clarissa Shields and Katie Taylor v Amanda Serrano fights were amongst the best bouts I’ve watched in the last 5 years.
Drop down the rankings and it can be a bit dull, knockouts are rare so the fights tend to go the distance and be snooze fests. The rounds only last 2 minutes also compared to 3 minutes for the men.

Not everyone - PutinMake sure you don't cross the road.
You might get hit by a bus....just saying like.
People are well aware of the risks, and it should always be a choice of an individual todo what they want todo
There’s plenty kids out there who aren’t aware and quite a few parents I’d say also who are probably just happy that they know their bairns are doing something that’ll keep them out of mischief.Make sure you don't cross the road.

Many women nowadays spend fortunes on rearranging their own faces until they look like they’ve been punched senseless - it’s a funny old world.Nah, I love and respect women, just don’t think they should be trying to re - arrange each others faces . Men’s boxing is bad enough![]()
So what about Rugby,Ice hockey,Shinty, motor sports,MMA?There’s plenty kids out there who aren’t aware and quite a few parents I’d say also who are probably just happy that they know their bairns are doing something that’ll keep them out of mischief.
I’m talking about educating ourselves about what the science is telling us. kids are at high risk of brain trauma in future years ?
It’s easy to be flippant but if you’re someone who’s been effected by this, then it’s a serious thing.
Some sports we all know and love might well need major change or completely banned.
I think Boxing could fall into the latter category
I've always enjoyed watching boxing but do wonder why humans get worked up to a frenzy seeing people beat fuck out of each other (include ice hockey)I think rule changes for some of them might happen in the future.
I know you’re being a tad flippant but I happen to think it’s a serious issue and yes we might need to ban certain sports for children at least.
Pretty obvious reply from a guy who supports putin invading ukraineSo what about Rugby,Ice hockey,Shinty, motor sports,MMA?
Should we ban them all?
Stop being a dandelion.
Maybe we could ban tennis too,I mean a ball going at 90mph...that could be trouble.![]()
No?Just, my concern is they're no hard enough to KO each other,
Put me in for the sprintI've always enjoyed watching boxing but do wonder why humans get worked up to a frenzy seeing people beat fuck out of each other (include ice hockey)
A much more natural spectacle would be championship shagging. Freestyle? synchronized maybe?
Of course such a natural event would upset too many.
Violence rules ya bass!
