Home draw against anyone.
Have a feeling we will draw Hearts or the Rangers/Kilmarnock.

Right, Ill be that guy....

Celtic at home. I do not want to face them at Hampden and we can put them out on our turf. This Hibs team has done it already this season.
I know what you’re saying but I’d rather someone else got them.

Me too. It would take absolutely monumental performance to knock Celtc out, which we are capable of, but I couldn't see us following it up with another in the semi-final and final. With our current squad and who's available we'd probably just be clearing the way for a Sevco, Sheep, or Gunts to win the bloody thing. Previous 2 seasons I would've agreed with THB though.

Hearts at home please.
Why would you want that right now? Last season, bring it on; this season - not so much.

Agreed. I remember when we knocked Celtic and Rangers out and lost to Livingston in the final of the league cup. Our best chance is drawing a smaller team at home and then avoiding either of the ugly sisters in the semi final. If we have to beat Celtic let it be a winner takes all game in the final.

I still kinda refuse to believe that happened.
Even though I witnessed it.

Innit. Weirdest atmosphere I think I've ever experienced.

I was there .. It was surreal ..
I’m sure when we had our best team ever in the fifties Clyde beat us in a Scottish cup final at a point when Clyde were really struggling .
We must hold some kind of record for low percentages of success in finals and semis .
I remember Turnbull saying after one of our six - to less than six drubbings from Celtic ( and it was a great Hibs team ) that he knew we’d lose when he looked at our players’ faces in the tunnel .
I used to play squash with John Blackley when he was manager and I asked him about things like this .
He couldn’t explain it . He said we’d be doing really well - Go to a place like Aidrie and get a doing when he was with us .
Maybe we need a witch doctor or something similar to help .
Whomever comes in I’d love him to get rid of the “ boy band “ tag , which Lennon was having a decent attempt at .

Home tie has to be the priority before the team. Likely we’re going to need to face at least 3 of Aberdeen, Hearts, Celtic and Huns/Kille to win it.

IMO, in terms of ease of progression to the semis:

Partick (home)
ICT/Ross County (home)
Dundee United (home)
Partick (away)
ICT/Ross County (away)
Hearts (home)
Dundee United (away)
Aberdeen (home)
Sevco/Killie (home)
Celtic (home)
Sevco/Killie (away)
Hearts (away)
Aberdeen (away)
Celtic (away)

Although my preference is Hearts at home as we're due them one!

I'd rather not face a top 6 team right now, I'd rather the new manager came in,found out what his best squad was by playing the likes of Hamilton and taking it from there.I could really do without being humiliated by the jambos.

Why not? I love playing them and beating them. The day we fear that mob is the day we should give up. They've convinced themselves they are good. They are pish. Bring them on!!

That's all very well and rallying and stuff, K, but we've not beaten them in getting on for a year now. Would you really back us right now? Sounds more like empty bravado at the moment.
