Good post. Something that is rarely mentioned about Derek Riordan is that he is very rarely injured, and almost never suspended. As a result his contribution to the team is immense. If Benji turns out to be half the player Riordan has been for Hibs, he will be doing well.

I was surprised at Riordan,

but as an aside...

Only Caldwell out of the defenders and goalkeepers hasnae missed 6 or more games...at the bare minimum that's a month and half of games?

Maybe that's the reason why we've struggled to defend better this season...the goalies have been changed by choice, but Caldwell, Whittaker, Smith and Murphy have all had injuries. Maybe all we need is a wee bit luck between now and the end of the season ;)
