.... are the americans and ouselves jus Israeli puppets here? If so why?. Neither of us can invade for example Iran if were trying to provoke them... thres no where to build forces up like eg Iraq.... it doesnt srrm to be anythingin respect ofthose countries removing the petro dollar, as I think the Saudis are in that.
Im finding the geopolitics very hard to read with all this tbh. Going to defer to smarter folks as the thread grows

Don’t go all Ryan dude. The US are not anyone’s puppets, least of all a tiny nation like Israel. This is a response to Iran whacking some of their troops the other day.
I’m not suggesting you take a former CIA spook / now media whore at their word but coincidentally I listened to this the other day and found it interesting, and actually quite optimistic. This guy thinks Israel / Palestine stramash has peaked for example. But he is quite clear and spells it out that in CIA’s view at least, Iran is the hand behind the scenes

Also interesting is his chat on how intelligence services work and the related weakness of ancient presidents like Biden. His take is that given his time in politics, foreign services have basically been studying Biden for 50 years and reckon not only that he is weak but that they have him sussed and can predict his moves. He is a proponent it seems of the unpredictability is strength pov, which I think makes a lot of sense.

Oh, I hope Im not entering his world. Im a lazy typer and mosrltyin the dark so it takes an age to post! Im just not keeping a pace with all the players and reason, so just trying to grasp the US and UK position.
I think Isael isjust an itch in the region tbh. I dont think Iran and Saudi give afuckabout them . They are the two big cocks over there.

I think that’s right. They certainly don’t give a fuck about the Palestinians. Dishing it to Israel is about positioning to be leader of the Muslim world.
It’s the same here. None of this Islamic solidarity over Syria or Yemen. It’s not about the victims it’s about the other side.

Been like that for years.
Why US are illegally able to occupy Jordan,Iraq,Syria,and many other places in the region is farcical.
Especially as Russia gets banned from the every sporting event and certain financial transactions for a far less crime.
US wants to e the world police...but have bitten off more than they can chew this time.
Having Russia,North Korea,China,Iran...and the rest of the middle East as an enemy.
Could have a devastating effect.
UK and rest of the west need to stay OUT of their mess for a change!
I don't think for a second however Old Senile Joe ordered bombings

You can argue with America’s interventions for sure, especially Iraq, but I’m not sure they are invading countries to absorb them. I’m not sure they have ever razed a place like Putin did in Chechnya.
I am confused as to your rankings here.
The US didn’t start any of these. They were all started by regimes under which the likes of your good self, and probably me also, would ‘fall down a flight of stairs’

I don't exist in an echo chamber except with Mrs Smurf as anything for a quiet life.... so last night I watched a Douglas Murray interview with Benjamin Netanyahu on YouTube from TalkTV broadcast the other night. It was a really soft interview. However, what came across for me was Israel looks at Gaza as just part of the war. It's all about Iran.... And their likely soon nuclear capability. Israel are not going to look the other way. And I got from the interview that Israel is getting much more support from the western governments than western governments are letting on.

Unsurprising. The reality is that as well as a local dispute it’s a front line in a global struggle between secular liberalism and Islamism. As ever this seems to go right over the heads of the monkeys of the activist class, but is central to the concerns of the organ grinders.
