Ukraine.

Russia soldier tells of state of equipment

Annexation. First time in Europe since the Second World War. He really is desperate to escalate this isn't he?

Well he signs decrees but what relation that has on the ground situation? I am not sure Russia actually controls all these areas fully?

I think this is to try and make an excuse for pushing a nuclear attack?

My worry tae, if he’s fucked like it’s rumoured he won’t give a fuck if he takes a couple of million with him.

West will just sit idly back and arm Ukrainians who will die fighting in this proxy war shit sadly

Last night there was a crypric message from Zelensky. It was that likelt Russia would give another goodwill gift very soon and pointed to today. My guess was correct that they had now surrounded Lyman and that Russian troops would be fleeing leaving machinery and equipment behind appears to be happening right now. If and when Ukraine consolodate this region they will have another route towards Kherson. So right now Russia wont be able to enter large swathes of territory they claim their own.

Putin in his speech today claimng four regions of Ukraine to now belong to Russia quoted the fascist philosopher Ivan Llyin, stating "The world has entered a phase of revolutionary transformation. It will never be the same as before"

You couldn't make this up..one of the so called suits at Putin's assembly was shown boasting on camera that "we will defeat everyone, kill everyone, rob everyone we need."

Joe Biden has declared the use of nuclear weapons on Ukraine as an attack on NATO as it would affect nearby NATO countries!

Russia invaded without any real provocation. If the West are guilty of anything with Putin it is trying to treat him as a rational actor and appeasing him. He has shown exactly what he is. Russians have assissinated people on British soil remember. Also no-one wants nuclear, and as Ukraine is not a NATO member there is limited things to be done as Putin has not formally attacked a NATO member. If we want to attempt a rules based international orer and all that.........

Just all so depressing. Our species never does learn does it? But Putin in this war is in the wrong.

Rapper Ivan Petunin, known as Walkie T committed suicide rather than go to war against Ukraine. He left a video message saying " I cannot and do not want to take the sin of murder on my soul. I am not ready to kill for any ideals. For me, killing a person-in a war or just for fun-is something that I cannot do. I have no right to pick up a machine gun and shoot at people"

Others have taken different steps such as the video I seen with a guy getting his mate to just from 4 steps up onto his leg to break it to avoid the draft..painful.

Consulate office in New York was doused with red paint.

Estimated 200k have already left Russia but that is a conservative estimate.

China, Brazil, India and Gabon abstained from condemning the illegal referendums at the UN, only Russia voted in favour.

Most people are now leaving their cars in ten mile queues at the border and walking before borders are closed. At the borders at Georgia Russian military are trying to capture adult males and conscript them

Hackers managed to get Zelenskys announcement on air in Crimea, Dagestand and Siberia.

Another trainload of old tanks was seen travelling through Crimea headed for the front. It is reported by Russian tank drivers who are captured that every other tank doesn't even get moving they are in such bad condition

Despite receiving thousands of transport and equipment from other countries, no country has sent as many vehicles as Russia have "donated" to Ukraine

This video explains the borders of Russia and why they are attacking or have annexed specific countries

Russian sources are reporting that Lyman has been retaken by Ukraine.

Ukrainian troops are in the center of the town and have posted videos of themselves putting the Ukrainian flag up at the city limits.

Russian sources also can't explain WTF their military is doing in this part of Ukraine, 7 months of gains wiped out in a matter of weeks..

Edit: Should also add that this was a crucial town for Russia as it was on the supply route to Donetsk.

Ukraine shot down another KA-52 helicopter 2 days ago then yesterday a video emerged of a fighter plane rolling off a runway and all its missiles blowing up at a Russian held airbase. The plane rolled down a hill so probably minimal damage to the airstrip or other planes. Other countries fear attacks from Russia but the reality is they simply won't have the weapons and manpower to do anything but long range missile attacks and stocks of these are getting low.

Meanwhile they continue to cause devastation in residential areas

The reality of mobilization//And Putin thinks this will make a difference??

Last night UF noticed RF burying a lot of containers in a trench and wondered if it was chemical weapons. Today the answer was given in another video showing the canisters which are actually sea mines being blown up by Russian artillery for the benefit of TV stations dealing in propaganda and being passed off as a Ukranian ammo dump being destroyed :5:

Ukraine finally gave some information on the so called "Ghost of Kiev" Well firstly the "ghost" is in actual fact a nickname for an air force regiment, the 40th tactical aviation brigade, led by Colonel Mikhail Matyushenko whose call sign was "grandfather" The brigade in the defence of Kiev had suffered zero losses. Afterwards he heard of the growing losses amongst bomber command and he moved to the Southern and Eastern fronts to help out. Sadly on one trip over the Black sea he did not return and it was only in the last day or so that his body was found and has now been sent to his family for a proper burial.

Elon Musk has upset a lot of people by saying that Ukraine should have another election and the UN should oversee it. Of course we know that many of those who would vote for Ukraine have either left these areas already or been moved to Russia or killed. Tesla already lost 4% from their announcement of not so great market profits and after his ill advised words dropped further to 8.2% down

A pretty embarassing video has appeared on the Ukranian news channel of 2 Russian soldiers inside a ruined building with no roof. One is performing oral sex on the other and moments later a drone drops a bomb on both of them.

Tensions are rising as a Russian nuclear Poseiden has moved from the dock it was in. However it is also normal for Russia to conduct nuclear tests in the Autumn. Tensions run higher because in Russia they also showed a documentary about a nuclear attack.

Meanwhile a Brazilian who is claimed to have predicted the Queen's death this year, Covid outbreak amongst other things, claims WW3 has already started and it will progress to the use of nuclear weapons.

Ukraine are making big inroads coming into Kherson from the North East in a circular fashion alongside the sea in a bid to out flank the army in Kherson. They will probably leave an escape route over the bridge to Crimea, however as the bridges are either destroyed or in bad condition, many Russians could be killed in such a retreat.

Germany, France, USA etc have pledged a lot more vehicles and weapons, so much so I can't be bothered trying to list it all.

Russia have been shelling Nikopol every day for the last four months from the opposite bank of the Dnieper river. Tonight they hit with grads blowing out windows of hundreds of residents.

Intercepted calls of Russian troops include one soldier claiming that as they did not have the means to feed prisoners they just take them into the woods and shoot them.

2 massive explosions in Kharkiv again tonight. A 22 year old junior female Police Lietenant Taisa Tatarin was shot dead and her partner injured when they responded to a call about a sex offender showing his genitiles to children, whent he Police arrived he started shooting at them. He is on the run for now,. Another Ka-52 helicopter and a SU-25 attack aircraft were shot down on the evening of the 3rd Oct.

Not only are Ukraine smashing the Russians in every area of conflict, they have been aided by Russian arms. This is a list of what Ukraine say they have taken from Russian forces and using on their own side in the last month alone

460 Tanks
82 self propelled howitzers
448 infantry fighting vehicles
195 combat vehicles
44 MLRS

The actual figure may be much higher and does not count smaller arms. This is more than even USA have sent

Germany handed over 5 Bergepanzer 2 vehicles. These are combat support vehicles developed on the basis of Leopard 1. They are operated to ensure the mobility of armed forces, restoring vehicles damaged in battle and assisting in the installation and dismantling of engines and turrets as well as providing support in the workshop.

North Korean ballistic missile crashes outside Japan's economic zone.

Schoolgirls have joined in the riots and protests in Iran shouting we don't want an Islamic state and death to the dictator

Two Russian TU=22M3 supersonic long range bombers were destroyed by drones St an airport 359 miles from the Ukranian border. The air defender system probably did not expect strikes so far inland. Little loom at the wiki page looks like their a bit outdated and more used for reconnaissance these days and probably better for scrap metal

They’ve only gone and blown up the Kerch bridge , joining the Crimea to the rest of Ukraine. Ukraine special forces apparently.

Rumours of dissent in the military in Moscow tonight. Apparently there have been arrests of high rankling officers.

4 more Russian helicopters shot down today.

It is reported tonight that at least 8 missiles were fired from Belgorod (Russia) but at least 4 of the missiles never even left the city with at least one falling on their thermal power plant causing a blackout in the city. Of course Ukraine have been blamed, but it is not the first time this has happened. Yesterday there was a massive explosion there at an ammo dump but no details of how that happened.

Putin declared that there is no need to send more missiles into other pasts of Ukraine as it is not his intention to destroy Ukraine and that anyway they had 50 targets of which 43 have been hit and troops working on the other seven. Considering his missiles hit residential apartments, play parks and other places of residential interest then we can only wonder if these were his intended targets! It should also be noted Ukranian estimates are the Russia have about 124 Iskander missiles left from a 900 number. 124 of 900 Kalibr and 272 of 500 cruise missiles left. Quite why countries would worry about further Russian invasions I have no idea unless it was indeed nuclear. If these figures are correct they have barely enough for defence purposes.

In one advance into Kherson, Ukranian forces found a weapons supply after Russian troops fled. Amongst the find was over 500 artillery shells, 100 missiles and small arms ammo. It will be put to use.

Elon Musk got a bit upset at the Ukranian ambassador to Germany's comments and stated he will no longer fund his starlink satellite service in Ukraine any longer. It looks like the Ambassador has also resigned his position in Germany. This is the second time in a few days that there has been mention of Ukraine's naivety in speaking out against those people helping them after it was revealed Biden had also threatened supplies could dry up if Zelensky continued to criticise USA on supplies...this happened a few months ago. It should be noted there is a cultural difference and Ukraine perhaps are having to learn how to negotiate with the West.

Strong explosions in Melitopol again tonight. Melitopol is under Russian control but is one of the big targets for Ukraine as it splits the roads between the East (Donbass) and South (Kherson/Crimea) Melitopol like Kherson will be getting softened up while UF regroup and supply front lines for further advances

Russian military moving into Belarus to beef up defence and train. While some worry about a possible Norther invasion this is highly unlikely as there is not the equipment and vehicles for such an attack at the moment and besides winter is coming which is not a good time for an invasion. In fact expect a lot of deaths on the Russian side in the East soon if they do not retreat as they are ill equipped for winter.

It was also reported many Russian recruits died of a medical outbreak due to unsanitary conditions.

Ukraine will be supplied with a lot more anti-aircraft batteries, Howitzers and ammunition. Norway is the latest country to buy 17,000 122 and 152mm ammunition from an allocated $20m

Ukraine claim to be shooting down between 60-90% of Iranian drones of which they estimate Russia have around 300 left. Russia were expected to buy thousands more but this might not go ahead due either to their ineffectiveness or that Russia do not have the money.

An FSB officer and a Wagner mercenary have asked for political asylum in France and are ready to "reveal all" about the schemes of the FSB, war crimes and info on the Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Russian forces continue to move towards Bakhmut. This continues to confuse Wester "experts" as they have taken months to move approximately 1.5 miles and sustained many losses. It is believed the majority of troops there are from Wagner however there is claimed to have been arguments with local troops from the self proclaimed republic who say they are the ones making gains. Either way any advance could find troops being surrounded eventually from the North and South as Ukraine advances in these areas. Meanwhile Ukrainian forces claim to have liberated over 1600 settlements, many of which have been pretty much reduced to rubble.

There are a couple of dozen Ukranian students who use their weekends to come into recently occupied areas and assist with rebuilding houses and facilities for locals.

That's another of these articles that loses credibility in the first paragraph. Russia may or may not be running short of munitions but it's a simple and indisputable fact that a few days of long range attacks with cruise missiles and similar doesn't "give the lie" to claims it's running short. What about artillery shells? Tank rounds? Small arms ammunition? What if those cruise missiles were the last they had?

As Rocky has said one way or the other stocks are depleting. Russia will not win this war unless they plan to use nuclear or some other crazy munitions. They might hold some areas for a long time but Ukraine will not simply give up, rather there will be continual war and the only way to stop it is if Russia go home, which is in their power to do so and stop the war overnight. Not really sure what point you want to make with all these negative posts. Do you somehow expect Ukraine to lie down?

Kind of feel that they want Ukraine to fall as it will show how weak liberal democracy is and strengthen their hope for Western Europe and the EU to collapse and be reborn as the new Jerusalem of International Socialism. Or in the Lexiters pure, wonderful isolation of socialism in one country.

Or it is they just like authoritarians. Or it is just to be contrary. But if The West and the EU etc do collapse into chaos it will not be the left taking control........

In Belgorod 3 gunmen, who may to be in the Russian army opened fire on other soldiers in a training ground incident killing 11. Two of the gunmen were killed, one escaped and appear to be Tajik's

It appears last nights hit in Belgorod was an oil depot

Another Russian KA-52 helicopter was downed.

Russia launched 4 missile and 17 air strikes today. Objects and civilians of 20 settlements were reported hit. All Russian counter offenses were repulsed again today. Ukraine air force carried out 30 strikes hitting 23 areas of concentration of weapons and equipment and 7 anti-missile systems. 6 UAVs were also shot down.
Ukranian missile and artillery troops hit 5 command posts, 7 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment. as well as enemy artillery. These attacks on Russian lines and behind the lines appear to grow daily as Russian forces weaken.

It is estimated at least 14,000 conscripts have been sent to defensive lines without proper training from Russia. Meanwhile 10,000 Ukranian troops trained in UK are heading back to Ukraine to bolster the army. Elon Musk has done a u-turn with his Starlink system in Ukraine and now said he will completely fund it despite the loss of money and other companies benefitting from billions of taxpayer's money.

Romania allocates $400m to Ukraine military, $600m to Moldova, 300m and £100m to Moldova, all to strengthen their defence capabilities through the NATO scheme

Much has been said about the tanks taken from Russian forces and now used by Ukraine. But the total figure according to Ukranian forces of vehicles and equipment which has changed hands is quite staggering. Some vehicles actually changed hands twice.

2,309 units as follows

853 large trucks/vehicles
468 Tanks
444 lighter vehicles
200 towed artillery guns
183 radar trucks
71 UAVs
48 missile trucks
41 static missile launchers
1 Helicopter

Seen on a highway heading to Crimea was armoured vehicles made for the 2nd world war...

Meanwhile in Tehran a major riot/fire/explosion is taking place within Evin prison which holds very dangerous prisoners, but also has a lot of political prisoners and many held who took part in the protests recently. likely this has to do with recent killings of Kurds after the killing of a young woman. Over 222 people are said to have been killed in Iran, most are children and under 25;s along with 20 members of the security forces.

Despite Putun saying Russia no longer need to target the wider Ukraine, there is many missiles and drones being flown over Ukraine today. This is likely because of attacks on Belgorod.

Reports that Iran will supply Russia with Ballistic missiles with 300km 3ange. This could be a dangerous step as USA have always steered away from long range missiles..perhaps this could change if Iran supply Russia?

Update: Iran claim they have never and will never supply drones or missiles to Russia as sending weapons will only prolong the conflict...erm why are Iranian drones being shot down saily then?

Meanwhile on the back of the Iran debacle, Israel have joined the fray and stated they will now start supplying Ukraine with weapons and ammunition. WW3 anyone?

Over 40 kamikaze drones were fired at Ukraine overnight. Of the 28 fired at Kiev, 5 hit targets and 23 shot down. A multi storey building was hit with at least one woman killed

6 fired at Odessa, 1 landed and hit power infrastructure.

Claims of multiple rape victims in previously occupied territories include both male and female and aged between 4 to 80.

This you tube report might explain why some of Russia's attacks have ended up hitting their own units

Russian drones were captured and their territory was bombed. Ukrainian officials said on Saturday that Russian drones attacked Zaporozhia again. Later, high-level hackers trained in America managed to surprise the target of Russian drones. The Russian air attack, which started in the early hours of the morning, was soon returned to their positions. Ukrainian hackers who changed the targets of Russian kamikazes stunned Russia. The Russian general, who saw that his own positions were being hit, was confused about what to do. More than 10 places were hit with Russian C300 missiles with Russian kamikazes. The general, who did not want his own positions and ammunition depots to be harmed, gave the order to shoot the Russian kamikazes. Having shot down its own drones, Russia is making unsuccessful attacks unprecedented in history. Putin dismissed the commanders who he believed caused him to hit their own positions.

And the incompetence goes on

I liked this post from a Russian in a reply section.. .... My cousin's boyfriend was mobilized and sent to the front in Kherson...he surrendered before ever firing a bullet, at the very first chance he got. Ukraine is not his enemy and he is not going to die keeping Putin in power. The Ukrainian POW camp let him call his girlfriend/my cousin every few days and feed him far better than the Russian army did.

A Russian military SU-34 with full ammunition plane came down on residential houses in Yeysk, Russia. 15 apartments were damaged. Yeysk is directly across the sea of Azov from Mariupol. The pilot ejected. The Russian propaganda brigade claim it was a training flight which caught birds in the engine. At least 13 people are dead and 19 injured

Explosions in Crimea and Belgorod

Elon Must stated that Russia will use nuclear missiles rather than lose Crimea

There was a prisoner swap which seen the return to Ukraine of 108 woman and 98 men. 37 of the Ukranians were Azovsta; defenders including 11 officers, 85 privates and sergeants
Of these 35 are from armed forces of Ukraine, 32 from the Navy, 12 national gard, 5 state service for transport, 4 border guards and 12 civilians

In missile attacks in Kiev yesterday a husband and pregnant wife and pet cat were all killed. The woman who worked in a local shop had a favourite phrase,,,"You need to feel less sorry for yourself"

Aviation attacks from Ukranian forces made 11 strikes today hitting ten areas of concentrations of weapons and equipment as well as anti-aircraft positions. There were 25 UAVs downed

More Kamikaze drones have been fired at Kiev

Georgia intend to review their no visa scheme with Russia due to influx of Russians

Russians do not understand how the roads in the Dnieper region where many poorer people live are maintained better than roads in Russia where rich people live.

There is a protest rally outside the Iranian embassy in Kiev in regard to Iran supplying weapons and ammunition to Russia

Hungary will not oppose but will not participate or help in the training of Ukranian forces

Arestovich stated that Russia will probably spend the next 2-3 months sending kamikaze drones at Ukraine in order Ukraine use up missiles shooting them down.

Russia have knockwd out about 30% of Ukranian electricity and theee will be blackouts and a cold winter aheqd. Russia have changed position of firing their supersonic missilws so that Ukrajne have less timw to respond and get to shelters. Putin is desperate for skme kind of peace deal and his srrarwgy now appears to bring Ukrajne to it's knees by knocking out all power suppliea. Sefence systems will help, but Ukraine not being able to hit very far into Russia means they will not be able to have the same impact in retaliation.

Life today in Ukraine

No idea how true this is but brings a new dimension

No idea how true this is but brings a new dimension

Nothing on the news about that but it did say last night that Israel are now starting to supply Ukraine.

Israel claim that they will not supply weapons or ammo to Ukraine but only humanitarian aid.

There are no power outages in Kiev as yet as people voluntarily cut their energy use to help the overall capacity.

Meanwhile in Belgorod, Russia last night another sub station was partially damaged

Been a long time since I printed Ukranian figures of estimated Russia losses so here goes

66650 personnel
2567 Tanks
5255 Armoured personnel vehicles
1642 Artillery systems
372 MLRS
189 Anti-Aircraft systems
269 Jets/planes
243 Helicopters

1311 UAV/Drones
329 Cruise Missiles
16 Boats/Ships
4005 Vehicles/fuel tanks/trains
147 Specialized equipment

Obviously more UAV/Missiles etc have been used and so now not in stock, these are what has been intercepted/destroyed

Russian troops mostly headed by Wagner group continue to inch forward in the Bakhmut area. There has been a whole lot of troop losses on both sides in which even if Russia take the area is unlikely to affect the war as they may find themselves isolated if moving too far forward or even flanked. But it does herald back to WW1 and the massive losses over a bit of dirt. There are few people left in Bakhmut and it is well possible Ukranian forces will simply pull back at some point to another fortified position and the whole process start over.

What Russia intends to do next in the Kherson region is a source of debate for many commentators. Will they evacuate Russians to the south and use heavy weapons to blitz the Northern side? Will they have a mock situation where they target a thermal power plant and blame Ukranians? It is hard to know but expect an escalation soon in that area.

Kiev government find it very odd that China claim to know nothing of Kamikazi drones hitting Kiev. Do their own consulate in Kive walk around blindfolded they ask?

A Russian military analyser did not realise his mic was on when on TV he said "We all know they are Iranian, but the authorities do not recognise this" The lug was pulled afterwards as it dawned they had just admitted to the Russian public they have drones supplied by Iran

A Russian SU-30 Came down insiee Russia after losing control and eell on residential houses. Russia had also lost anorher couple of jets and KA-52 helicopter in last couple of days

Russian foexes eerreared 1k at East of Bakhmut. This which took rwo months to progeess was lost in 48 hours.

Fears aew still rhere that Russia might destroy a dam while in retreat aew still rwal and woold cause immense floodung in the Kherson region if true.

Meanwhile the loony defence minister Shoigi
complains Ukraine will use a dirty bomb. Prelude to Russia using one ?

@Davy , I really appreciated all the effort and passion you have , and continue to do, in posting all these updates , and info.
On the assumption you have a vested interest in the goings on, and have more an understanding than most on the subject, what is your prediction for say the next 2 months? and further for that matter.
I can't see anything other than Russia eventually obtaining their goal ( whatever the fuck that is?) , or is their goal to create WW3, or is their aim (Iyo) for a slice of nuclear war?
Hope you don't mind me asking, you can of.course ignore. I am only interested and I am not starting a debate on my behalf.
Cheers

Dont mind you asking but unfortunately I dont have a crysral ball. Firstly though I do not think Russia will achieve their goals, in fact they will weaken their position both in Ukraine and the world. They had Crimea and some of the East and were largely through mercenary units holding back small Ukranian forces and mostly made up of Azov fighters.

Right now they are being pushed back in every srea and have pretty much given up at least on the East of Kherson. So whatever they manage to hold will have to continually be derensed for Ukraine will not give an inch of land away. That is not acheuvibg objectuves and will be financially and diplomatically a strangle hold.

Should they go nuclear then that is also not going to win them objectives as they will also incur the wrath of many countries and lose face enjoying only the support of the likesnod Syria Iran, Paraguay and North Korea.

Thw losses they have raken so far and if Ukraine are publishing truw figures means their forces as a whole are very much weaker and they will srryggle to Police countries such as Syria, Chechen, Georgia etc and now they have Finland building a fwnce

Perhaps they can theeaten or even attack others with ballistic or nuclear missiles but as I said their aims will not be achieved, in fact one of their pretend rwasons for the war was to protect Russian speakers and now Zelensky has ordered that to gain citizenship it will be mandatory to learn Ukranian. This because he and others are now hating Russia and thwir ways.

Russia have been kidnapping child3en and moving them to places wherre they can send them to Russian schools. This is going ro cause a whole lot of bitterness. I do fwar for communities split on wanting Russian or Ukranian rule, I think Russian sympathisers will be shunned and pushed towards luving in Russia.

The hardest battles are ckmung. How does Ukraine fight street warfare in Kherson knowing they do not want to kill civillians? Up to mow they have auccessfully bombed areas of concentra4ed rroops, weapons and ammunition. Will Russian troops keep qithin mIn population aewas 4o dissuade theae attacks?

Also Ukeanian troops will have to cross rhe rivers where they blew bridges up whilst avoiding booby traps.

Russian conscripts thoufh are living in freezing warhehouses with little or no training and little supplies. I cannot see them being reliable troops.

Even after this war the cost of rebuilding Ukraine is going to be staggering.

So sorry I cannot give difinitive answers but it is my opinion. I do think winter is going to test parricularly rhe conscripts to the limit.

I was having a wee look at Russia's economy. Contrary to what the MSM seem to be saying it looks like Russia is no as bad as we are told.......

Six months into the war, what is the state of Russia's economy?

Russia's economy is in better shape than many forecast after Moscow sent its forces into Ukraine six months ago, but some hardships are emerging for some Russians.

After predicting at one point that the economy would shrink by 12% this year, the economy ministry is now predicting a 4,2% contraction.

President Putin has ordered a 10% rise in pensions and the minimum wage to soften the blow from inflation.

At the same time, however, the Russian economy has so far demonstrated greater resilience than many initially expected.

Despite losing more than 30 percent of its value in late February and early March, the Russian rouble has since rebounded to become the best-performing currency of the year.

Inflation has begun to gradually slow down in recent months, falling from its peak rate of 17.8 percent in April to 14.9 percent in August.

Meanwhile, Russia’s current account surplus has swelled to a record high of $167bn between January and July, more than triple from a year ago.
