Given that the Woman's game has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years.Given that in society it is time woman were treated as equal .Given that we would like to see a more inclusive atmosphere in the crowds.Does anyone else think it might be the time to set up mixed football in this country? It might be a way that maybe the development players could take part in competitions that see them gaining a bit of success.Since we see this as a progressive club, would it not be an idea worth considering?

If they're good enough and strong enough to compete at the level required.

And pass the drug tests!

I don't see why not.

It’s a ‘no’ from me.

Carefully avoiding any reference to swapping jerseys at

Theres a huge campaign pushing womans football....But its generally pretty shit.

The goalies are hilarious though.

Dont think many woman would survive a Porteus challenge too!

Men and womans bodies are completely different...It simply wouldnt be fair on woman.

Three day eventing, horseracing, tennis, badminton. You don't have to play like Razor Ruddock to play fitba.

It's mixed at a young age then the girls have to buy their own ball.
Women just aren't strong or fast enough to cope, look at the times in the likes of athletics to see how much faster men are. There will be the odd exception but not many.

It would change the game. Social mores would prevent aggressive play between men and women so I think any contact sport is a no go in terms of mixing.

I'm not sure I buy the women's game is pish part though. I was somewhat impressed by some of the attacking play during the women's world cup, particularly that of the USA where you can tell it is invested in on a much higher level. At the elite level it's far behind the men's game, but I'm certain the likes of Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan would run rings round most SPFL defenders.

Some might others might tough it out.You see mixed marathons now,if the top woman comes say 20th,they don't complain, they just say next time I could come 17th.

They'd need a motorbike for the last 3 miles to be competitive.
Women can throw the discus just as far, if not further, than men but it's half the weight and smaller in diameter

The point being it would be a different game. It'd be worth trying out.I'd go along to watch it.

The American women’s team - the World Cup winners - got beat in a practise game against the American boys under 15 team. Mixed teams would serve no purpose.

You know that wasn't a proper game right? It was an informal kick-about as a reward to the boys. They were all posing for selfies after it.

No.

Some women could possibly compete, but physically, they're going to take a beating.
First clumsy tackle that fucks a woman's career?
It would be dangerous.. It just would.

And how is anyone gonna defend if they cant grab a woman's shirt.

It would be like having x number of empty jerseys in the team.

x = number of women in the team.

Mixed football has existed for years. I played on a mixed team for a season in 2004. After about 5 minutes I realized going ‘easy’ into tackles wasn’t an option. I did think my speed gave me an advantage over most the women and I’m not particularly fast. Skill wise they were as good as the guys and they could kick the ball as far and hard.
