Saw this remark in a Torygraph column today and it struck me as a simple encapsulation that is both true and telling. It should also be bamboozling but it isn’t.

It probably really is the case that there is a wider gap between Starmer’s front bench and his party left, and Sunak’s front bench and his party right, than there is between those two front benches.

It’s quite odd when put like that but does emphasise the lack of real choice on offer.

Would you agree or not with this observation ?

Let's see the direction the next Labour government takes. Is there still a difference between screwing and not giving much of a fuck? Maybe that gap is closing?
