The Sheep's New Ground

Those designers have a great imagination, Aberdeens ground full?

It actually looks like a mini ibrox minus the top tiers....

It's not in Aberdeen City.
It's 8 miles from Pittodrie.
Easier access for away fans & the dons fans from the north with the new by pass, but a bit of a journey for those living close to todders.
I've heard a few saying they won't be going, but that will depend on results I would think.

Would hate to have a Stadium 8 miles outside town.

I dont think we will ever see this happen.

As I said Darren, it will be good to get to & from with the new bypass, which will be close by, but for generations used to Pittodrie, it will be a big change.

Is there any reason why proper stands cant be built at Pittodrie. From the away stand it seems there would easily be enough room for something similar to our east stand.

My guess would be Milne wants to build houses on it and get cheap land from the council out of town, with other incentives thrown in.

Milne does indeed want to build on it. I don't know if it is still the case, but there is a small part , a car park I believe, belongs to someone who is/was not willing to sell.

Images released of the sheepies proposed stadium. I'm impressed - filled in corners which will help contain the atmosphere I think.

It's still a bit of a hike from some of the more traditional watering holes but close to some good pasture if ewe get my drift.

Sent by telepathy.

No doubt some of the city's publicans will continue to lay on free buses to the new stadium in order to keep their clientele drinking until the last possible minute.
