This week on camp we are highlighting railway safety, a massive thank you so Scottish Football Association for providing relatable resources to help keep our attendees safe and provide them with an understanding of dangers related to rail lines

Reminder for tonight. 7pm for those who can make it.

A chance for men to tackle their mental health through football and Hibs. Meeting at the West Stand at 7pm.

It’s safe, confidential and free

We're going to try and record a podcast episode (derby preview) immediately after it for anyone that wants to stick around and contribute questions/watch as well.

It'll be the first time we've done this other than the live shows we did for Shortbangers so it depends on us being able to technically figure out what we need to make it work but if you're not in a rush to get home we'd love to see you there and have you hang about for half an hour or so with us.

We are delighted to announce that Steve Smith has been appointed as Chairman.

Steve, who was previously a Board Advisor to the Foundation, will assume the role of Chair following the resignation this month of Mags McPherson.

Steve possesses 24 years of experience in investment management with Edinburgh based company, Walter Scott & Partners. He is a lifelong Hibee who was born and raised in Edinburgh with an incredible passion for the club and the community.

The appointment will create a new drive and energy throughout the organisation as we look to continue our progress and expansion across Edinburgh and further afield.

Following the appointment, Steve commented:

β€œI am delighted to Chair Hibernian Community Foundation.

β€œMy passion for the club and the community is at the forefront and I am excited to embark on this journey as we look to continue the incredible progress that the Foundation has made.

β€œJust over a year ago we were providing 200 community meals a week from the stadium – now it’s closer to 1,000. I’m so proud of what my club is doing and it’s a honour to be given this opportunity to lead this amazing charity.”

We would like to thank former Chair, Mags McPherson, for her incredible commitment to the Foundation and the wider community.

Without her passion and desire the Foundation wouldn’t have been able to make the vast improvements that it has made over the two years.

Mags commented:

β€œFor me, in my role as an Advisor and then Chair, it has been a fabulous journey and it’s been a pleasure and a privilege to have led this change and progress.

β€œTo maintain momentum, it’s essential that fresh ideas and energy keep coming through. I have every confidence that Steve will continue to lead the Foundation in the right direction and look forward to following the progress.”
