Just back at my mum's after receiving an absolute soaking. The march left Johnstone Terrace and worked it's way down to the Parliement. Many Unions were well represented I noticed Unite,Unison,GMB ,UCU,CWU,PCS,EIS,NASUWT,Living Rent,LGBT+ and more.I'd say it was about 2 thousand strong, considering the weather was hellish it wasn't bad at all. There was quite a few speakers, most of them pretty good. Can't say I agree with the general concensus that the cleansing have won,a 10% rise is actually a pay cut and I think it should be rejected. But it's a small quibble.News elsewhere might deflect away from today which is a shame.Oh well what can you do?I'll leave the dafties on here to make their tasteless remarks.Might have been me a few years ago,I'm no saint. But I'm older and wiser now.

Inflation in NL running at more than 10%.

I'd rather the employed workers got extra rather than the stakeholders getting bigger dividends each year and whenever fortune smiles on them like the power/fuel companies of late.

Trickle some of those extra profits down for a change.
