Once a year we all become experts 😆

I've no idea who will win but sadly its not likely to be our 'local' hero Andy Murray.

Indeed, I reckon the English media will skip the Brave British Lionheart and go straight to the Auld Enemy, a whinging sour faced Jock before he does his first high toss slam or whatever its called!

New balls please 🎾

Djokovic has to be the outright favourite. Probably by some margin.

But the Spanish boy who's number 1 looks the real deal.

British players look pretty poor.

1/4 final then out to probably a top 4 player.

Norrie is decent enough, but I don't see him getting past the quarters. My hope for Andy is a few rounds, but he has a horrible second round match if he gets through. If only he could have got his ranking up that little bit more. I think the women's side looks really interesting. As for Alcatraz, well he is amazing and a breath of fresh air. If that's him just getting used to the grass! Djokovic is the favourite, but I think he is more susceptible to being knocked off his stride. We'll see. A great two weeks ahead.

Not seen everybody yet.But Alcatraz or whatever he's called strikes me as being the most boring player since Sampras.

They call him the Birdman 😉

Murray skooshing his first round match just now. Not sure how much to read into it. Much tougher test awaits in R2 against Thiem or Tsitsipas.

2 sets and 2-1 up in the 3rd set. Still time for it to go to 5 sets!

Glad to see Chris Eubank has given up the pugalism and has taken up the much gentler sport of Tennis.

I can’t decide if this is a joke or the least informed comment I have seen in a long time.

I can't decide whether your a spangle or a tube.
OK Alcaraz is one of the most naturally gifted, exciting and entertaining talents to emerge in the last 20 years. The potential is just mindblowing. It's a brand of tennis I love. Fast, skilled and lots of fun. Sampras he isn't.

Alcaraz is the most mind numblingy boring player I can remember since Sampras. He and Novaxx hit the nadire of blandness.Give me characters even however flawed like Nastasie,Macenroe,Connors, and Aggasi.Probably couldn't beat the current mob,but entertained.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Did anyone else notice the commentators were being very anti Murray until he began to hammer the useless fuck over the other side of the net?
It could be his turn to be the useless fuck later today so the commentators might appear to be anti Tsitsipas

Ye they have always done that. Subtle when starting, more vociferous when dropping points, then more supporting with breaks etc. Just the way they've always been. They can't stand a Scot won after Fred Perry. They always saw us as a joke - now they're just jealous. Well done Judy!!!!
Yeah, Murray had to “win over” the crowd…. Whereas the lassie born in canada to Romanian and Chinese parents respectively had the whole crowd with her from the very start…. 🤷‍♂️

There's one 'Brit' Fery (sorry not got an accute on my keyboard well not one I can place above the 'e') anyhoo he's got a French mother,ex tennis player, was born in France has a French father who owns a football club and he appears to be 'British' because he lives in Wimbledon. There's another 'Brit' sorry forgotten his name was born and bred in Germany and doesn't to have much 'Britishness' about him.I realise that 'country' is a petty bourgoise liberal concept, but it is the BBC that are playing this stuff up.

I thought you didn't want borders?

Neither I do.But whilst that isn't an actuality,I should still have the right to show up 'British Nationalism' especially under the BBC for what it is.
Surely it's the rules of the sport you should be going for? Rugby too.

ITV News headlines.

"LIAM Broady knocks out the world's number 4 with Murray still to come".

Murray on after this woman’s match on the beeb… could be a few minutes…. Or not
