Allright lads, a fellow Celt here.

Based on yesterdays draw in Europa cup I thought Id ask you lot a few questions if you dont mind lads?

Firstly, what do you rate your chances in next weeks 2nd leg?
How many did you take to Malmo?
What sort of welcome did your lot get over there? Any problems?
If you get through, how many will you bring down here?

Cheers in advance lads!

We are the hibs mate.... Fuck the other greens :pf:

A fellow Celt??

Does he not mean a fellow person of celtic origins? Of course, the Welsh/Cornish Celts are completely different from the Irish/Scots celts and Edinburgh is definately not as clear cut celtic as other parts of scotland.

Fuck Celtic, though. as you so rightly say.

Malmo are favourites. They are well into their season, playing at full throttle and have a 2 goal advantage. However, if we get an early goal, who knows? It is not inconceivable. We were the better side in the 2nd half on Thursday night.

How many did you take to Malmo?

Somewhere between 500-1000 - not sure exactly. If we got through that number would multiply many, many times over. The Malmo game at short notice was an expensive ask for many people.

We had a ball. Not cheap but the people were great and so were we (even if we say so ourselves) :lookaround:

If you get through, how many will you bring down here?

See above. There would be huge demand.

If they get through then there won't be anywhere near as big a travelling support.

Firstly, what do you rate your chances in next weeks 2nd leg? - We can beat them
How many did you take to Malmo? - Around 800, hell of a place to get too and damned expensive
What sort of welcome did your lot get over there? Any problems? - Fine as they are simply content to fleece you dry financially. No hassle from their fans, although they did have a wee mob, it was just daft laddies.
If you get through, how many will you bring down here? - As many tickets as you can give us. We should be bolstered by a few of our Bluebirds pals too.

We have a slight chance, an early goal would def help.

We took about 600. Malmo was a great place and their fans in the main were fine and there was no issues/trouble.

We'd take easily 4000 down if the tickets were available.

Away and play with the traffic from a fellow Cardiff fan.

Proof that ignorance is not always bliss.danni

I would assume they are talking about Celtic nations (Scots, Irish, Welsh etc) as opposed to the Mhanky Mhob from Glasgow :lookaround:

Yup. I took it to be that too.

If we do manage to get through how many tickets would we be likely to get?

Add to that the fact that we have been shite for 4 years and only started being on the up this season. Thousands of fans have been frightened off but will be back now that we are back on the up.

Cheers for the replies lads.
Well lets hope you do the business in the 2nd leg then, as a clash between us sounds like fun.

We would probably give you 2000 tickets, as i would imagine us selling out the home lot of 18k fairly easily.
Depending on the result down here, I would imagine us taking anything from 1 to 3 k up to you.

Yes indeed I was refering to the celtic origins, we wear Cilts too!
Bluebird pals? Ask them to show you lot the Mumbles and Swansea Bay, beautiful!

A lot of jacks are behind you for next Thursday so good luck to you.

Forgive me. When I see Celt, my first thought is that Glasgow bunch.

Ive never actually heard anyone refer to us as Celts in the other way before. Just seems weird to me. But at least all you perfect lot knew what he meant.

Never been telt yer a Celt?
Lots Celts are welts, but they're of the soapdodger variety, they get telt they are a Celt that smelt.

You have never heard of the word Celt(pronounced Kelt)? I take it you fell asleep in history when your teacher got to the Scottish history bit.

I was cringing the further I got down the thread. :rollfloor:rollfloor:rollfloor

SKII to the rescue. :thumbgrin
I felt that too. That was actually embarrassing. I was hoping some of them were just winding the boy up and then i realised they weren't. Not a shining moment in Hibees Bounce history :giggle:

In fairness, you see "Celts" on a Scottish football messageboard and you don't immediately think of a pan-Celtic cultural exchange... Given how touchy many people are about people perceiving us as being Celtics Edinburgh cousins it wasn't a wild leap of imagination to think that.

I read it the other (presumably correct) way.

I was no history buff at school but i thought everybody was aware of the Celtic(Keltic) Nations. Were Scotland not involved in a Celtic Cup a couple of years ago with Wales,Eire,N Ireland?

Im well aware of the word Celt and what it means.

I just jumped to the conclusion the OP might have not had a clue about Scottish football and thinks us and Celtic are like cousins or something (like the patronising Celts fans think)

Some fairly embarrassing responses to the Swansea punter on this thread what the fuck are they teaching folk in schools nowadays.:dunno::tuttut::tuttut:

If folk took the time to read it correctly in the first place, it's quite clear the OP didn't mean Celtic. Agree with Greenman some embarrassing replies.

Hardly embarrassing replies. People just took it the wrong way.

I would have been embarrassed replying in the way some have, only to find out later in thread from those more learned that they had made a complete double D cup tit of themselves. Maybe the Swansea dude could have helped by replacing the C in Celt, with a K e.g. Kelt to aid some of our thicker contributors on here. :giggle::giggle::giggle: oh ma sides:doh

I think the first 4 replies scared the Swansea fan off!! He's probably off to the Swansea fans forum to tell them that we're all a bunch of welts!!

Nope as a new user, his/her posts are moderated :coffee::giggle:

I guess this is what happens when schools here spend all their time teaching about the "glories" of the british empire instead of teaching the history of their own country.

Another very warm welcome :laff: from me to the Bounce, I'm sure you will enjoy Sweden!

I never liked Swansea. Too many Union Jacks (any more than none is unacceptable) which is in stark comparison to Cardiff. They are also Jamboesque in the number of second prizes they have taken from their rivals.

Regards
