Tommy Craig getting emptied before Christmas is probably the most predictable and unsurprising managerial casualty of the season. When they were discussing suitable candidates for the job, how the St Mirren board concluded that this guy was a capable manager is way beyond me.

Tommy Craig played for and was twice assistant manager of Hibs and was part of a cup winning Hibs management team in 2007 so I always try to give him some leeway. It has to be said though that he is very much yesterdays man in Scottish football these days and it was a bad move by St Mirren to sack Danny Lennon and install his number 2 as manager. No surprise to see him emptied.
