I used to fly 32 times per year and the inevitability of folk standing and queueing like sheep despite being told to stay seated used to do my head in. Seems it happens on boats too. We're just back from a couple of days on a Thai island and each way was a 45 minute trip on a pretty old ferry. Each way once one person makes his way to the front the sheep start to follow. On the return trip it was a bit rough but rather than just sitting until we tied up at the dock folk preferred being thrown around like matchsticks in a box. Arseholes!

Not the same on cruise ships, everyone relaxed, hardly any queuing , even at buffets and bars 👍

I remember queuing to hire pushbikes in Kos town once. A German couple pushed right past us and the Greek guy looked at us as if to say “do you mind?” I clicked my heels and gave him the Nazi salute (unseen by the German couple. Once he had seen to them he got bikes for us. Whilst adjusting the height of the saddle for me, he pulled the saddle right off and pointed to the top of the tube saying “this one for German lady!”
