Being as r club and directors have been slated for the players brought in, and now that SDG is getting results with them, do people consider the level of abuse justified, as it appears a good manager can do so thing with them after all.

Also Gray is only 36. Hopefully he can conti ue improving and learning. Much as I like what he is doing he could easily be snapped up but an English club. Could be future Scotland manager but I'm getting ahead of myself. I hope we get some more silverware while he is here starting with knocking the lesser greens out the cup next week

I think he has more substance to him than to up sticks to the first club that waves a cheque book at him. No doubt his progress is being monitored but my personal thought (and hope) is that he’ll want to take Hibs to the next level. A good couple of cup runs and European competition, challenge for 3rd (2nd?) this season and next - hopefully we’ll hear a few more renditions of SOL before that time comes.

Doubt he would go down south just yet. He is an Edinburgh man and got job at one of the biggest clubs in Scotland without having to start at the bottom and grind his way to an SPL job.

He’s already way ahead of where a rookie manager normally is in his career.

Sure he also appreciates that he is a club legend and as such has a lot more grace with the board and fans than he would get at any other club.

In answer to the OP - I agree some of the abuse was unwarranted. I thought so at the time.

I’m definitely guilty of wondering if SDG’s backroom staff were experienced enough but it seems they’ve all learned together. In that Sun interview a few weeks back SDG talked about he’d benefitted from seeing first hand so many different management styles and learning from all of them. It’s clearly his vision that is now paying dividends and so I admit I was wrong to suggest he needed more experience behind him.

Give Pep a midtable team with no cash to spend....He woul bomb.

There's absolutely no chance Man Utd will be relegated anytime soon from EPL.
Theres to many teams at the bottom end....that are garbage.

Have a bet at a bookies...and see what odds you get?
Cause you'd be throwing money down the drain in backing it.

Why would you?
All bookies are owned by the Rothschilds you know. Look it up!

That would be my hope. Ferguson stayed at Aberdeen long enough to have significant success and learn the ropes before moving. Not many more had success running down Sourh at earliest opportunity. Hopefully David will see the sense in that.

That's a good point. I suppose though I was thinking of how the board were accused of always taking the cheap options or signing weak players, yet now we see with a good manager and guidance these players are not as shabby as we thought
