Obviously you want to finish as high up the league as possible but the glamour of third and being best of the rest no longer has the same appeal IMO

With UEFA giving the european incentives to the national cup winner winning the cup brings european competition and guaranteed european group stage competition at that. Players want to play for clubs who are competing in europe and winning trophies

The goal posts have shifted after St. Johnstone's win last night

It still matters.
Will be our best league performance in feckin ages. It’s not often we get 3rd.
Even if we don’t win the Cup this will be a great season for us.
Or for me anyway. I know others will say it’s a fail/sack the Board/etc but it’s all about opinions eh.

If Hibs don't win the cup I can't call it a great season. A great season is winning a trophy.

If JR left I'd be happy to get CD in as new Hibs Manager/Coach.
I think there may be bigger fish with designs on Davidson......more so if they win trophy no2
He was a no nonsense full back with an excellent attitude, and he appears to have St J working the same way.

Looks like a fairly even battle for the trophy to me.
We should be favourite, and it's ours to throw away.
But everyone will be confident playing us, we need to carry that confidence or we'll lose, no doubt.

Good form at the right end of the season.
I do fancy us to do it, just need the right attitude

Boyle and Gogic out the semi? Think I'd rather play St Mirren.
Boyle 100% available for the semi

Where has his neck gone though ? I'm sure he had one when he was playing

Would certainly take a couple of St J players. I like that Jason Kerr, solid looking laddie and he's a Hibby.
Would take zander clark in a heartbeat and not just because he's a hunskelper
