Scottish Premiership Transfers & Contracts Summer 2024

I’ve been saying for ages that the ‘game changing’ comment probably meant that we would avoid administration. That’s how the Foley money has been spent.
A portion of the new investment will be put towards the refurbishment of the Famous Five Stand which will make a new behind Behind the Goals area. Improvements to the training centre could also be made, which may include a covered, all-weather training pitch and other things.
Speaking to the Edinburgh Inquirer, Kensell made one thing clear: "There will also be significant funds available to football, have no doubt about that."

Malachi Boateng has joined Hearts from Crystal Palace.

The 22-year-old midfielder moves on a permanent basis after featuring on loan for Queen’s Park and Dundee in the past two seasons.

He was good last season
As a Palace man all I can say is he has been badly advised. I emailed him to say it wasn't something he wanted on his CV but no reply. Fell short of a contract renewal at Palace but a decent player all the same. How you could spend a loan spell there and still sign a permanent contract suggests he is not the full shilling! :grinning-smiley-045:

I noticed Dundee wanted him back but Gunts offer of hard cash was always going to stop another loan

Refreshing to see Dundee actually trying to punch above their weight.

Depressing in my Hibs mind though
I watched the first half of the Dundee derby, really enjoyed it and was thinking how great Scottish football is ...

then i sat behind the goals and watched our dreery game :grrr:

Was reading earlier the fee was nominal as Liverpool wanted rid. He was guff on 3 loan spells, only got 1 game at Blackburn.
Probably be like Van Dyke up here mind...
I looked him up last night when I saw Dundee were interested and he has, as you say, done the square root of fuck all out on loan.
Sending him to Blackburn for the second half of last season was certainly sending him in at too high a level and he was given no league minutes.
Could turn out to be 3rd tier level in England which is what we have recruited this summer although the difference is our new guys are well proven at that level.

One of our guys got relegated at that level and he looks the more assured than the one that done really well last season. It’s all pot luck u til they pull on our top I guess.

I'm putting that down to O'Hora's team mates.
You can understand why he didn't want to play another season in the shot putters league.

Yeah, two chances of that happening, nane and feck all
I think they may have to settle for redeveloping Pittodrie in stages -as Hibs did with ER. Proposed plans to move to Kingswells were canned (yet their training complex is there) and the idea of a new stadium at the beach will have opposition. I worked with one Sheep ST holder who said he would never go back if they moved out of town. His reason? The owner of a few boozers in Aberdeen (including his local) laid on a free bus for every home game picking up fans from all his pubs and getting them to the game in time. “My local’s the last stop and I can drink till quarter to three and still be in ma seat for kickoff”. The idea of having to leave for the game half an hour earlier just did not wash with him.
