Really hope Shankland is only starting to keep Che Adams wrapped in cotton wool for the Germany game. Tommy Tefal has shown absolutely zilch at international level.

Think Tefal will run rings round big Rudiger next week Kev. ;))
Scotland wi 4 keepers in the squad, I'm surprised Anti Niemi isnae one of them.:gigglle:

Glad that's all the pre-tournament kickabouts finished.
Scotland have too many players out injured and lack depth.
We just have to give it our all next Friday and try to make life as tough as we can for the Germans.
Try not to gift them any goals and at least test their goalkeeper.

Did you think he played well?
He took his goal well. He's good at what he does but he's never going to look a great player at international level.
For me we are sub standard at centre half and centre forward as well as left back since the loss of the very impressive Hickey.
In truth the only international level player playing in Scotland at the moment is Callum McGregor. No one else comes close.
The other top Scottish players are the EPL guys Tierney, Robertson, McGinn, McTominay and Hickey and we need more of them to give us the resilience to cope with the inevitable injuries in the approach to tournaments.
It's sad how we have lost players as this tournament approaches and only the loss of the talented Ferguson can be adequately covered.
The loss of Dykes, although not a great player, will remove a lot of the Scotland centre forward playbook which has been put together over time. Adams and Dykes with Shankland as a late substitute option might have done okay but Shankland as a starter isn't a good option.

It was all going so well until the substitutions. Then the cohesive back line lost their understanding of each other. Gordon didn’t get enough of a contact on the ball at the penalty so a spot kick was inevitable as he wiped out the striker.

Having been at the pub, I fell asleep through all four goals.. Shanklandstein got his goal, was a bullet right enough. Whether we can afford to sacrifice anything else he does if he pops up with a goal. Germany are bound to dominate, its essential there is some press from our forwards. Iceland beat England. That was amusing...

That Spotty finish now?
He was finished the moment he broke his leg and for me was beginning to fail in the months leading up to it.
Marshall at 39 would do well to retire this summer to avoid going over the hill some time next season.
