How the fukk can the BBC see that as a bigger game than The Gunts V Hibs :dunno:

The BBC broadcasting that live is a fuckin joke but entertainment is the last thing that channel seeks to provide in it`s Scottish football output. Pandering to the bigot support is more important. Even if SKY did get first pick and chose our match, there`s other ties with at least some level of competition attached. Watching the soapies run up a cricket score and embarrassing some part-time footballers isn`t my idea of entertaining sport.

They would, if asked why of course, come out with something about giving a small, non-league club some TV exposure and cash but the truth is they want to show the smellies because that`s where they think they`ll get the biggest audience numbers.

"Hmm" mumbles a BBC Scotland sports producer, "what game to broadcast?. A properly competitive, blood and thunder Scottish cup-tie.... or the chance to show Celtc`s highly paid professionals destroying and humiliating some postmen and plumbers. Then there`s the audience figures.....Celtc fans couldn`t possibly want to watch any other team than themselves. Bingo....ratings it is".

The saddest thing about it is that there were likely to be only two ties that BBC fucking Glasgow was ever going to consider broadcasting. The Soapies match or the one the huns are in. Celtc this time though as sevco are at home. Cant have their attendance figures affected by a live broadcast.

If it's going to give EK a potential £50.000 from live TV i'm all for it. Romance of the cup inall that.

Of course i knew the Hibs game was on Sky, even if it was from the early Sunday KO.

I tend to agree with your first sentence.

As to the second, I'm not as bright as you, I wasn't looking properly :banger:
