Sitting here thinking with my morning cup of tea. Our starting line up on Saturday will be intetesting. Now we can't drop all of Heckys players can we?

Marciano

Naismith
Jackson
Porteous
Hanlon
Stevenson

Hallberg
Mallan
Allan

Shaw
Kamberi

I've went 5-3-2 but really a 3-5-2 with Naismith and Stevenson pushing way forward. I've put a team out with as less of Heckingbottom signings as I possibly could in the formation I would prefer. Naismith could easily be replaced by Boyle, he's played wing back before.

Personally I would play Doidge with Kamberi I think they could do damage.

I think a couple of idea spring to mind:

3-5-2

Marciano

Jackson Porteous Hanlon

Naismith Mallan Allan Hallberg Stevenson

Kamberi Doidge

Virtually identical to yours @stickyRicky

4-4-2 Diamond

Marciano

Naismith Porteous Hanlon Stevenson

Hallberg

Boyle Slivka

Scott Allan

Kamberi Doidge

Or Even PHB's 4 2 3 1 with proper personell

Marciano

Naismith Porteous Hanlon Stevenson

Hallberg Slivka

Boyle Scott Allan Horgan

Kamberi

The 3-5-2 seems more balanced to me. Although light in midfield still even with Hallberg in there's no many other choices. Interesting times ahead though.

Diamond midfield (asking full backs to support with lack of width/trying to accommodate best 11 (Hallberg to show awareness)) but options available to tweak - depending how St.J line up - with Horgan, Shaw, Murray, Doidge, Middleton.

I would go with this but swap James for Naismith.

Felt Celtc specifically targeted James.

You can't drop Allan. It's unwritten rule :53:

IMO any of the above would be a huge advance on what's been going onto the pitch recently.

If I was Roger I’d pick myself over James and Naismith, came on the other week and done well.

That's actually a no bad looking side. Plenty attacking threat in there.
I thought Kamberi looked great on the left on Saturday. I actually stopped watching the game and just focused on him instead.

Middle 3 might still be a bit light but I don't think any of our other midfielders would improve that sadly.

St Johnstone are pish though, we should be going there to score goals.

Aye that can only be improved by new addition to squad.

Glad you weren't reading Kamasutra when you picked the formation. You'd get some players in some weird positions.

Maybe at home, I feel our full backs have been isolated a lot recently. Too many 2 on 1 situations. I like 3-5-2 formation at the right times. Interesting to see how the three amigos set us up.

No idea how we will line up but hopefully see rocky back in goals and 2 upfront from the start. Also good to see big Daz back in training so hopefully he’s raring to go after the international break get him Porto and Hanlon in a back 3 and we will hopefully see us stop leaking goals
