A Dee ST holder of my acquaintance suggests we are "fuckin sniffing about" Luke McCowan, who is apparently a midfielder highly regarded by the fans up there.

From what I seen and read about Dundee last season he was always there or thereabouts and key to the good season they had. Also doesn't seem to miss many games through injury*
Be a very good signing I reckon, but wouldn't come cheap

A Dundee fan told me on Twitter that they've offered him a contract extension of 4K. He said we could maybe match it but we couldn't afford the likely 500K fee. His source was maybe @Hibs Soldier

SURELY with the amount of "excess players" we no longer need / want / require then Mr Docherty can have a couple in exchange for McCowan? Henderson, Delferriere, Kenneh, Harbottle, TAVARES, plus possibly JDH, Rocky and maybe Levitt??

He would be off his nut to sign half of them. Rocky will be gone next summer at the latest. You can't coach someone in his 20s to header the ball imo.

I'm with you on that. Rocky has shown he has potential. He makes the odd mistake but isn't too bad at carrying the ball forward. All the "Rocky is shite and should be punted" brigade clearly don't have a clue.

He needs to be focused, dial that in and he's got quality.

Rocky needs to be more of a villain and less of the diving to win free kicks. He's a big fuckin strong laddie, needs to start acting like one.

Exactly, hope he gets an expectation of what’s needed from SDG and the new signings, for me he is borderline being able to give us something, too many car crashes in his game.

I think Porteous taught him all that diving for free kicks stuff which takes the pressure away when it comes off but possibly a goal against when it doesn't.
I reckon Rocky can be an asset under Gray if he gets a game as he will be allowed to play to his strengths, keep it simple and launch the ball if he sees fit. I believe Montgomery had him playing to oders that didn't suit him and he predictably came unstuck.
Reckon we might try to sell him this summer though given his contract expires in 11 months.

Rumoured Hibs are keen on bringing Simon Murray back to Hibs.
Relatively cheap, proven in the league, had the season of his life last time out. Already known to the club.
No brainer tbh. More so in the rebuild.

Playing for a crap team last season as well so should perform better with a step up you'd hope. Sir David will know well having played in the same team of course.
Aye punched well above his weight. Just a solid worker who's getting his rewards.
Hopefully, if we do end up signing him, that it translates to however we play.
I think we'll be a hard working side, it's what Sir Dave was, run into the ground, through walls and picked himself back up to go again.
He'll want those qualities throughout the squad.
