Rugby

All blacks rugby union is on another level to the rest as far as free-flowing entertaining rugby goes . Their problem at the moment is South Africa, while not on the same level attacking wise, their defense is the best in the world, strong as oxen ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

That's league isn't it? Always preferred union but probably because I played it since primary school.
Aye more exciting for me and pretty much none stop . I'm not a fan of union but some of the big games can be good but so many games lack tries these days for some reason

Not seen a game for a while but used tae like watching games on a Saturday when they showed it on Grandstand. Prefer league to union, better game with less rules.

I prefer watching it to football these days though the new ruling regarding contact with the head has been a bit shite

I don't mind some union at the top level. Everyone looks to the All Blacks but I have a couple of South African pals who are Springboks fans and have come to appreciate their own particular qualities which are considerable. The All Blacks can't seem to buy a win against the Boks at the moment.

I've tried with League but just can't get into it. Run a bit, roll the ball back back between your legs, run a bit, roll the ball back between your legs, over and over. To me, it lacks the strategy of Union and is a bit monotonous.

The world cup final was always going to be close but favoured the Springboks as they had a better kicking game and more reliable place kickers. I had backed New Zealand but made a good decision for once to cash out before the final started.

I'm a bit like that with union , guy boots the ball forward , opponent catches it and kicks it back then of course there's the bits where the ball disappears under a mound of blokes . Most games seem to be won on pens

I think there's too much emphasis on points from penalties. You hear people moaning about footballers 'buying' a foul. In rugby it's celebrated. Think of how many penalties arise from strength at the scrum. It used to be a way to restart play. Now it's a penalty weapon.

Well what a game that was , golden.point extra time and warrington into the semi final . Great edge of the seat game

Rochdale doin awrite anaw ๐Ÿ‘
That laddie Mitchell is banging the goals in . Dont know his age or history but he knows where the goals are
Edit . 22 goals in 49 games for Rochdale Inc 9 in the last 7 games and he's 26 . Probably below our level but looks a decent player

I find union a bit slow an laborious.
League is pretty much non stop.
Seen 2 Grand finals and been to a couple of Magic Weekends.
First time I went to a GF, I sat beside a Huddersfield supporter on one side and a Warrington supporter on the other.
I asked why they were attending a Hull v St Helens final.
They buy tickets in the eventuality that their team gets there.
If their team doesn't, they simply attend in the hope of seeing a good game with plenty of tries.
Anathema to most football fans.

I watched them yesterday ,Joe.
If you remember you posted that it was on telly.
I was speaking in general terms about the difference.
And you can't watch the all Blacks when The 'Boks play Argentina or Australia.
By your definition the All Blacks are the only team worth watching.

No, they transport the sport from boring to entertaining IMO .

Either game is good or it isn't surely ?
That's my theory ,too.
Joe seems to think not, but that's his choice.
As I said, I find league faster and easier to watch.
That doesn't mean I don't like Union.
