Rabbie Burns

Dunno what Moaty was going to say there.Maybe Amnesia or Alzheimer's....we may never know......maybe Angst!

If too aft he points the finger,and blames and scowls like carnaptious whinger, show him dour, dinnae let him linger, douse the ire o the fiery ginger. ODE TO LEANNE 25/ 01/2019 FRIDAY

Couldn't give a toss about Burns' Masonic connections or orangeness BUT poetry, be it in Scots or English is in my mind tedious drivel that I could happily live without.
I categorise it the same as jazz music - I'm aware some people love it, but for the life of me I have no idea why!!

My hearts in the Hibees, there's no hearts in here;
My heart's in Hibernian and we have no fear;
A-chasing the 6th beer way down Easter Road,
My heart's with the Hibees wherever I go'd.

He wrote that posthumously! True! Fact! End of!!

Don’t mind jazz as long as it’s on quietly in the background ocasionally when I’m doing something else .
But I find any kind of poetry a load of nonsense and quite bizarre unless it’s in a song I guess ?

That album Eddie Reader sings the songs of Robert Burns is excellent. Her version of The Winter It Is Past is stunning
